“Loved it, Will Be Back”
Reviewed August 28, 2011

We stayed here from 26th til 28th August for a romantic weekend away without the kids & to celebrate my 30th birthday.
We stayed in The Stage apartment which was (obviously) the original stage of the Picture Theatre.
It was very reasonable at $190 per night which included late checkout, local wine (which was so nice we bought some more from the bottle shop), chocolates, and fluffy bathrobes to use with the spa.

There is a spa in this split level apartment in its own room which is built into the theatre stage, a bedroom, lounge area, kitchen, dining area, bathroom & seperate toilet.
This was the perfect size for two people and has reverse cycle air con to keep warm in the cooler evenings.

There are DVDs for use in the reception (mainly older ones) or you can hire DVDs from the General Store to watch.

The host, Graham was very nice and friendly, recommending local places to see & where to eat. (Sadie's at Gloucester Motel up the road does a really nice smorgasboard meal)

Overall, we really enjoy going to Pemberton, having been there a few different times, it is a very relaxing place, and we thouroughly enjoyed our weekend at The Old Picture Theatre Apartments, we loved using our private spa and will definatly return to stay here again.

Room Tip: Book early as all of the other apartments were also booked out when we stayed here

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at The Old Picture Theatre in Pemberton. I booked The Stage, and from time of arrival to departure everything was lovely.
The room itself was spotlessly clean, bed was great and the spa in it's own room was a delight. All the little extra touches were there. The history of the building has been retained and is fabulous.
The folder of info left for guests to read was one of the best I have ever seen as it covered everything. The continental breakfast basket ,whilst containing not a huge range, was certainly adequate.
At the back of the rooms is a lovely yard area, with a BBQ for guest use and an 8 person spa to use.
The location was fantastic, just a two minute stroll to the main street. The owners were very pleasant and helpful, and did not intrude at all.
The only downside we had was on the first night we had very noisy neighbours, but this was in no way the fault of the property. Just maybe thin walls!!
I would certainly recommend this as a place to stay and we will be back.

The owner of this converted property is very friendly and so knowledgeable about the local area.
The apartments themselves are steeped in history, and are well furnished and well-equipped. They are conveniently located at the centre of Pemberton - with the Tramway and the Gloucester Tree a short distance away. Pemberton itself is a bit of a 'one-horse' town, but is in such a beautiful area of Australia.
Well-worth a visit.

Even though we were only a couple, we booked the projector room of the old theatre which is now a three bedroom apartment. The conversion has been well done with wood panelling , exposed floor and pink walls. The apartment is spacious and has three bedrooms comprising of two rooms with queen beds and one with two singles and has one bathroom. We found the apartment to be very clean.

The kitchen area is well equiped and has a largish dining table with six chairs. The adjoining lounge area has two couches and the apartment has a good feel about it. We found the bed to be comfortable and warm on the cold day that we stayed there.

The apartments are located within the town centre and around the corner from the Pemberton Pub, grocery and shops. Its an easy walk to everywhere.

There is a large shed outside that houses a large spa tub and free laundry facility

We had a relaxing couple of days in these apartments which are in the converted old theatre in Pemberton. They are very spacious with beautiful Karri flooring and wall panelling. There is a well equipped kitchen with dining area and a cosy sitting area with TV, DVD and video. The friendly owner has B&W videos that you can borrow for free or you can rent from the video shop on the corner. There is also a large outbuilding with a spa and seating area. free laundry facilities are also available.
We loved the quaint touches in these apartments with old film posters on the walls and old cinema seating.
The location is in the middle of Pemberton so there is plenty to do and places to eat.
We recommend getting the Trout Platters delivered to your door (the owner can do this) delicious and good value.
