Owner description: All aboard at the Pemberton Railway Station for these return services which meander through towering Karri and Marri forests; over trestle bridges spanning rivers and streams along one of Australia's most majestic rail lines through to the Warren River Bridge. In spring (September and October) the forest is resplendent with colourful wildflowers. As you admire the breathtaking view on the journey your tram driver gives an informative commentary on the forest, railway line and history of the region; with a 15 minute stop at the Cascades for you to alight and experience the feel of the forest.

“A lovely trip.”
Reviewed January 27, 2013

A special treat for our son on his 5th birthday. The guide (sorry... can't forget your name!!) allowed him to sit up the front on the way back and answer a thousand questions! Really made his day - along with the dead snake of course!!

“Great trip into the forest”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

Going on this 1 3/4 hour round trip will give you some insights into the flora of southwest Western Australia. Our driver was very entertaining and informative, providing insights into the history of the area as well as the various tree species we could see from the tram. The stop at the small waterfall for 15 minutes was enjoyable -- you felt really secluded and part of the Australian bush. I'm sure in late spring it would be even better! There were a number of good photo opportunities too from the tram and at the stop.

Would highly recommend to anyone travelling through the area, though would suggest going in October or November for more greenery and less heat!

“Path through the forest”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

We visited Pemberton in August 2012 and decided to try the tramway one morning. Our driver made the whole trip enjoyable with his knowledge and sense of humour. He had one of the best commentaries we had experienced in a long time. Its refreshing to find people who seem to really enjoy their job. It was a cold morning but the tram had plastic covers over the windows to keep the rain out. It was amazing to travel through the forest and gaze down at the rivers as we crossed them. Stunning scenery!! We were able to disembark and explore for about 20 mins before the return journey. Highly recommended
