I had the pleasure of staying at Karri Forest Motel in March 2012.
Ifound the place to be nice and quiet and comfertable. A home away from home. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing me with a lot of information and fun activities. Beautiful atmosphere, would highly recommend to anyone

This motel needs to be removed totaly from the face of Pemberton and re-built from scratch.
Roomn was old and small, pool was small and terrible, bbq outside was dirty and rusty, sewage was running next to our room, the owner hospitality skills needs an upgrade - better get yourself a tent!

Room Tip: Go to another hotel!

I have to admit I didn't check the reviews first which I now regret. Do your self a favour and stay somewhere else. I took my fiancee away for his birthday and this ruined our trip. The Manager if you could call him that gives the worst service. Things are not cleaned. They say they don't have a chef so the restaurant is closed however this was why I stayed there as I don't like to drink and drive. They should mention this when you book. I asked for other places and he says that town is closer than Sadies over at the Gloucestor. AH not... Sadies is only 2 blocks away. AND THE BEST RESTAURANT I HAVE BEEN TOO IN AGES. The service and food is amazing. So in the end where would I stay - at the Gloucestor.. Why walk two clocks when you can walk out the door. The hotel rooms are way cleaner and the service is better than this hotel.
The room at Karri Forest is not clean, TV doesn't work, furniture on the balcony looks like it hasn't been cleaned in 6 months.
Thanks for ruining my nice holiday away.

Room Tip: No good rooms. Stay at the gloucestor if your after a motel. Or better still spend a bit more money...

We booked to stay here for a week to explore the area before we read the reviews. After reading some of the reviews we were a tad apprenhensive as to what we might be staying in i.e reviews about the unfriendly manager and room full of bugs however this could not have been further from the truth in our experience - Joe the owner was nothing but friendly and professional and we had a lovely room overlooking the pool and views of the Karri Valley, yes maybe not five star but certainly clean and fresh and in just the most perfect location. The pool was perfect and most days we had it too ourselves and by early evening it was like swimming in a bath. We loved the area and place so much we stayed an extra night, wish we had time to stay longer.

Room Tip: Try and get a room at the top opverlooking pool, perfect views If staying a while, ring motel direc...

Ok so its not Bunker Bay or a 5 star resort...but it is exactly what it says it is...a charming motel in a beautiful location surrounded with native bush and forest with lots of fruit trees, wild life and even a small cute pool - all set on a two acre block. It you are looking for peace and quiet this is definitely the place to come. The staff were more than happy to provide me with extra towels and blankets and the rooms are of a good size and very clean. Although there was no restaurant the owner who was very helpful and knowledgable was able to recommend a great place to go ( there are eight restaurants in the vicinity) and even some good local wine to go with our meal. But best of of all we could just stagger back home because the motel was so close to town. Perfect! I will definitely come back here again. This motel is excellent value for money and I will recommending it to my friends and family.

Room Tip: Talk to the owner/manager

We stayed 3 nights. Like many other reviews state, were were expecting the restaurant to be open but were disappointed to find it closed due to there being no chef. The room was average with dated decor but hadn't been properly cleaned. There were toiletries left in the shower from the previous residents and hair in the shower and on the sink. We asked for the room to be cleaned, which it was the next day. The manager didn't seem too happy with his cleaner. A couple of times the hot water went off, but the manager came very quickly to restart the gas pilot light. Never used the pool as the weather didn't permit nor did we spy the gym.
All in all it is a nice place set in a lovely spot, just needs a bit of TLC and a chef. Not sure if it was worth the money but that seems to be the way in Australia - you pay through the nose for average service and usually walk away feeling mildly disappointed.

Room Tip: Round the back is more pleasant
