Description: American businessman, Jim Thompson, born in 1906, discovered the unique style and quality of Thai silk and made it one of the most famous and sought after materials in the world. Years later, inspired by his passion, we bring you a taste of that quality in the food, service and decor at our restaurant "Silk". Simply smooth and divine.

We did takeaway, but the restaurant is beautifully decorated & very inviting. The food was delicious, lovely flavours & lots of it for a great price!! For 4 adults, we ordered 3 dishes, 2 large rice, one of which we didn't even touch, a few starters & we still had leftovers. Prawn Pad Thai, beef salad & red chicken curry were all winners. And the prawn toast was the best I've ever had! Packed with prawns & not greasy like the usual fare!

We stumbled across this place, whilst trying to get out of the rain in Mandurah, what a find! The lunch menu was from $11.00 and the menu was extensive. Everyone loved their meals, only complaint was - we wanted more! Try the Prawn Toast - yummy!!

We went for the food as we had heard good things. The Tom Kha Soup was one of the best I have ever had. For main the Seafood Bounty was a miss.... It was an egg souffle with seafood served on a lettuce leaf and flaming sizzling plate! Confused? So was I as there was no mention of egg in this dish on the menu. The Roast Duck with honey was too sweet and needed balance and seasoning.
The host was passionate about the food and the service was outstanding. The restaurant was small, intimate and busy. Serving sizes were generous but you will pay at least $28 for a main.
Book in advance to try this interesting little place.

I love this little restaurant, the food is the best Thai I've had and well priced. The owners and staff are very attentive and friendly. Cosy decor. They also do take away .

I'd been meaning to visit this restaurant for months and when I finally did it did not disappoint! Ken and the wonderful staff were absolutely brilliant and we were the only people in the restaurant for a while giving us time to chat one-on-one with our lovely host. The food was the best Thai I've ever had. We ordered the Thai Red Curry and the BBQ Chicken flambé (recommended by owner Ken) which was a big highlight when they lit it at our table. The flambé chicken was beautiful, quality ingredients and the flavour was insane! The Thai Red Curry however was the show-stopper, just the right amount if heat and awesome flavour, the sauce was amazing. We ordered the curry as the vegetarian option but you can order it with a number of ingredients such as chicken, pork, duck and seafood. The menu provided so much choice as many of the meals you could choose what type of meat you wanted in there and nearly every dish had a vegetarian option.
Ultimately the dining experience at Silk was one of the best I've had. Lovely atmosphere and great food, it's he type of restaurant that makes you come back for more.
