Feels like going to the markets, but on a smaller scale and without the excessive crowds
Can find most things that other markets can offer
Most of the staff are friendly and welcoming

Lots of choices for families, couples and singles to eat, a great range of food, area and facilities always clean. Views are relaxing fun to watch boats come and go and if you are lucky some dolphins to spot

Dolphin Quay is typical of many other such waterfront developments, a few shops mainly selling tourist stuff and a few cafes and restaurants in standard waterfront style buildings. Some of the landscaping around the bridge between the two sides is quite nice, and there is always a chance of spotting a dolphin among the moored boats - I have seen one there a couple of years back - but it isn't that different from a number of other developments. There are a lot of empty units still in the new block which has presumably just opened (it was under construction a couple of years back), and some empty units in the older part as well. It's an essential part of a visit to Mandurah I guess to wander round here and have something to eat, but I wouldn't suggest it is the reason to go to Mandurah. Go to the beach or to see the dolphins and experience the whole area, and this is just another part of the day.
