About an $18 cab fare from the CBD, with some rooms overlooking the freeway and the adjoining river. Overpriced, particularly the parking at $14 a day, but well maintained, with the spacious and well-appointed rooms cleaned and resupplied daily. Also on the positive side is the public transport into the city and to Freemantle (abut 40mins and well worth a visit), but this also takes a bit of figuring out as there is a service only a block from the hotel that is a short trip into the city, but the reception staff are not aware of this and direct guests to one that is about four to five blocks away with more infrequent buses. There is a shopping centre also a couple of blocks away that includes a supermarket, a tavern and a boutique liquor store... essential as the bar fridge prices are outrageous! The continental breakfast, as with the room service is pricey, annoyingly, the breakfasts are not replenished, meaning first come best served and come late then very poorly served. Unless you have a reason to be in Como it is a bit out of the way, but not too inconvenient.

The hotel is ok - nothing special! I had some buzzing in my bathroom for our entire visit, which I couldn't find the source of. I wore in earplugs every night and didn't sleep particularly well. It would be great if the windows could open, but since it's on a busy road, I'm sure they don't want their guests doing that. The breakfast was fine and we ate dinner there one night which was delicious. However, the hotel needs a major facelift.

At $175 a night it seemed good value, and despite being put in a room with facilities for the disabled (hand rails, no shower cubicle just a flat floor and cutain) it was clean and comfortable, the staff were helpful and very friendly and I rather liiked the location. But it was stupidly expensive - $14 a day for secure parking; $27.50 for internet wireless which wouldn't work; $30 for a burgher and fries courtesy of room-service; $10 for a beer from the room bar. It seemed as though it was charging 5 star prices for 3.5 star service. Upshot was I didn't use services any where as near as much as I would if it had been more reasonably priced.

Well this place is noisy - directly located next to a busy highway, dated and complety overpriced. Aviod at all!

Arrived late in the evening and got to my room just to find out that the window is directly out to the highway. Extremly noisy. When i went down and asked for another room the awnser was "we do not get a lot of complaints about that, it is all sonic proof" instead of offering me another room. The room service was of bad quality and highly priced (even more expensive than in the Hyatt which I usally stay in Perth (a cesear salad 25$ plus 5$ devliery.) Gym closes at 9 PM!

never ever again!

Stayed here after an incoming flight to Perth before travelling to my next destination. After reading the reviews I was a bit concerned, as some of them were pretty bad. But hotels in Perth were fully booked or ridicously expensive, so this would have to do! I was surprised by the hotel. It wasn't a palace but it was pretty good; safe off street, locked parking, decent reception areas and although I didnt use it, the restaurant looked OK. I was opn the third floor and it looked like it had been refurbished in the last year. The room was basic but clean, two flat screen TV's (one didn't seem to work), a washer/dryer combo, small kitchen. The room was a bit noisy, the fridge compressor I think but nothing that stopped me from gettting a good night sleep.

Room Tip: ask for a room on the third floor.
