Great location as hotel backs onto the beach and isnt too far from town. Big outdoor pool aswell as indoor pool and spa. Not too crowded.
Rooms were big, clean and modern. Had nice balcony and large bathroom with spa.
I have stayed in the Presidential suite, two bedroom apartment and studio apartment.

Nice apartment but its a shame that Mercure as a group charges 2% surcharge on payment by credit card. We were not asked if we would like to be charged on our card when we checked in, it was only when we were checking out, I asked to pay in cash and were told that they have already charged me on my card.

In australia you don´t find often such an apartmenthotel ( 6 km from city centre). You get perfect rooms, clean and recently furnished with very comfortable beds. For us the Grand Mercure is highly recommended. We had booked a 2brm apartment and got a 3brm.one. everything settled.
Round the corner there was a supermarket with a good fish shop. Nearby ( 50 Meters) we could eat in an other resort and got reduced prices for the meals.

We stayed here with another couple for a couple of days and it was very pleasant. A lovely position on Busselton beach (beautiful) and near several other similar resorts.

It is a bit out of town - driving distance, but some great shops right next door including a great fish shop. We had a lovely dinner last night - just some fish in foil on the barbeque and salad bought there. We were getting pretty sick of rich and fatty bought meals

Initially we were checked into room 34 which was very dark and smelt musty. Reception was very kind and moved us to room 53 which was a 3 bed unit on the upper level. Light bright, clean and airy The beds were very comfortable, but everything is not far needing renovation.

Facilities are good - a heated indoor pool and spa, outdoor pool, tennis court, children's play room, and gym (that we found)

One little thing to be wary of - the tile floors in the kitchen are like glass when they are wet and very slippery.

We woul be happy to return

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is light. The two bedroom apartments alongside the pool should be avoided as th...
