We stayed for one night and would have liked to stay longer. Our suite had a view of the sea and we loved the layout.Staff were friendly and helpful. next time we will stay longer as it is a good stopover for a trip further south.

Room Tip: Corner suites facing the sea right at the end are perfect

Being so close to the beach, means many of the rooms at Abbey Beach Resort have ocean views making for a peaceful and pleasant experience while holidaying in this magnificent part of Western Australia. It's great that you were able to appreciated this aspect and will contemplate a longer stopover on your next visit! See you soon!

It is a magnificent building with the very impressive foyer a great start to booking in (and of course walking through).
The waters of Geographe Bay are a short stroll through well maintained gardens.
The overall atmosphere was pleasant, very much created by friendly and helpful staff.

Room Tip: Overlooking the swimming pools area

Stayed here for one night and we were more than happy with level of accommodation, a slight error by the employee who handled our booking had us red flagged but this was sorted quickly by employee who handled our check in. Clean, quiet comfortable rooms with excellent amnesties available. Dined at the resorts dining room which was reasonably priced. Would definitely stay here again.

Chose this property as we had heard it was very nice. Very impressive on arrival at the front of the property. However our 3 days for a quiet holiday were spoilt by the fact that you can hear people talking in the adjoining room - plumbing noises, chairs scraping on floors etc. The directory has a special mention about noise and the fact that you are requested not to spa either early or late in the day and other similar requests in relation to consideration of your neighbours. (our neighbours had obviously not read that part of the compendium) I can understand why but one doesn't have to feel they need to tiptoe around in their own space.
We ordered a paper on the registration form but that wasn't available on the first morning as we were 'not on the list' (not our problem) and the paper is not delivered to the door - you have to get dressed and go down two floors to reception and collect it yourself. We had no sugar in our room and were told that we would have to wait for the cafe to open in the morning and go down there and ask for some!!! We also felt the food prices (for the quality/presentation of the food) was a little bit over the top. Might add we are in the hospitality business ourselves so understand this business.

Thank you for this honest review. I am sorry that you were disappointed with parts of your Abbey Beach Resort experience, recently. The noise issue is unfortunate as most of our guests are respectful of others. You will be pleased to know that we now have daily delivery to rooms of guests that request newspapers. On the catering front, our restaurants aim to please and it may have been just a 'trying day in the kitchen' when you visited, as can happen even in the best places.

Thanks for being repeat guests at Abbey Beach Resort. You obviously made the most of the nearby beach and were treated well by our inhouse staff. We are very conveniently located for tour companies to arrange pick ups and returns - a great way to see the best that the Margaret River Wine Region has to offer and not be burdened with driving after a few glasses of the local wine. We look forward to having you bring your daughter along, on your next visit.
