Busselton Holiday Village
Reviewed January 5, 2014

We stayed at the Busselton Holiday Village over the New Year, what a great find. The staff / management are so friendly and the accommodation ( on site caravan ) was great A+++++++

The park is well looked after and the amenities regularly serviced - you couldn't ask for more.

Although we didn't swim in the pool it looked very clean and a great area for families to enjoy.

Great bbq area and never a long wait to cook in the evenings.

This caravan park is highly recommended and we will definitely be back, thanks again.

Hi there SAKA2014,

Thanks for your lovely comments - we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. The mercury is rising today, and the pool is certainly being put to good use!

We look forward to welcoming you another time.

Best regards,

I camped at Busselton Holiday Village just after Christmas through to New Years, with my young family and our friends. We had a great time here!!

I was really impressed that even though it was the peak time of the year, the whole park was kept really clean and I never had to wait to use any of the facilities.

The campsites all have plenty of shade from the trees and the lawn is well looked after.

The shower/toilet blocks were kept clean and well maintained. The laundry facilities are good. The campers kitchen, although small and outdated, was adequate enough. There is also a great BBQ area under a patio (see photo) next to the playground.

Our kids had a great time using the playground! And we all loved the pool. The swimming pool is quite small (and busy during peak summer holiday period) but that didn't stop everyone from having fun!

I found that all the staff are friendly and I loved the fact that the park is close to the main shops and just a short drive to Busselton Jetty/beach.

Although the Holiday Village facilities are quite small and doesn't have some of the extras that other caravan parks have in the Busselton area, it still has everything you need to have a great camping holiday!

Thank you for your review. We appreciate genuine feed back, good or otherwise. Glad you enjoyed your time with us. Our camp kitchen is due for a fit out any time soon as it is certainly a bit dated- it is a hard one though as we do get an element during some times of the year that don't respect the facilities and we wonder if it is worth spending a lot on it. That is why you may have noticed we now lock the camp kitchen, which can be an inconvenience, but has stopped some of the misuse . We like to think we offer a reasonably comfortable park at a reasonable price and this is why we don't have some of the things that some of the resort type parks offer. The cost of staying here would be double if we did. We are so close to facilities and the centre of town that we don't feel it is necessary.
I will pass on your comments to our ground staff and cleaning staff. We do make a point of ensuring that the communal facilities are kept as clean as possible, this will generally keep most people happy.
We look forward to having you stay with us should you be back in Busselton.

We stayed one night in a chalet and were very happy with the service and rooms. The whole village looks really neat and tidy and this was just after a group of schoolies had left. Our chalet was very clean and well maintained. All the camping areas were well maintained lawn and the chalets had enough parking for two cars. I would definitely stay here again.

Hello Sandra H, Thanks very much for your review. It is lovely to hear when people have a good time and enjoy the services that we provide for people. The schoolies were very good this year and we are even more pleased that you didn't find and sneaky surprises/damages in your chalet.
We do hope you stay again and look forward to seeing you in the future. Have a happy and safe Christmas.

On their website, they have a booking button where you pay for the nights you want at the advertised price (or so you think)....but it turns out there is an unstated minimum nights stay at the owners discretion, and the price is higher than on the booking site. Don't fall for their dodgy business practices.

One wonders why I even waste my breath on Dave the Kiwi poor excuse for a wanna be ironman and as unprofessional as it may be to respond I hope someone actually gets a laugh out of it. Your threats to write a poor review don't concern me Dave and won't effect my life.It has become clear of late that people who have their own barrow to push will use the "faceless review" trip advisor system to try and achieve a certain personal outcome. One only has to look down to see how the real people feel about us. We are fully booked every year by international and interstate Ironmen (the female overall winner stayed with us last year) and we don't apologize for having a 6 night minimum at that time as this is what they want. We are right on the course and they don't even need a car to get around. With regard to minimum numbers charged for in our bigger chalets Dave, this is so we don't have a repeat of the situation when we had two people in a three bedroom chalet that could take ten, while having to squash 8 Singaporean competitors into a chalet that only sleeps 6. Very selfish Dave and something I would expect of you. So Dave why don't you do us all a favour here and try the ultimate ironman challenge. Hop on your tricycle and ride to the Victorian coast (bike leg) ,swim across the ditch (swim leg) and run on back to where you came from (run leg).No room at the inn for you I'm afraid!

Chalet was very clean and the beds were clean and comfortable.
Excellent bathrooms and kitchen.
Friendly staff - we got in late and this was no problem.
It was nice not to be met with a 4 page booklet on rules and regulations.
We'll be returning again and would recommend to others.

This park though small is a gem. We stayed on a powered site. Only a few walking blocks from the beach, jetty and CBD. The staff are very friendly both in the office and around the park. The facilities are spotless and one of the best I've used. Even the laundry is cheap at $2.40 per load. The new lawn really gives the park a lift and I hope it can be maintained once summer comes. Will recommend plus stay again in the future.

We re-visited this park as we always have enjoyed our stays. This was to be the case yet again.

This time we were with another couple (family) so we chose a 3 bedroom Park home. The house was a great size and we were impressed. It had tv family room and freshly painted rooms. There was 9 of us in total and fitted us in comfortably.

The Cabin was called Rivergum. It had a Queen size bed in one room, two single beds in the other and 2 bunk beds in the 3rd room. It also had a sofa lounge in the family room. There is also enough parking for 2 large cars beside the cabin.

The cabin is situated along a Lake with great views. The patio area is great for sitting back and watching the wildlife.

As always, the service was impeccable and Park owners do everything they can do so you enjoy the stay. We used the camp kitchen facilities for a bbq. Even though it rained during our stay it was fantastic to stay here. Full marks to this park. Who needs Broadwater or Abbey Resorts. This is the best value by a country mile.

Hello Chizzel,
It is always lovely to have our repeat customers come back and stay, and say such great things about our accommodation (we have just redone the floors and painted Rivergum actually).
We hope that we can continue seeing and hearing from you in the future.
See you soon.
Kind Regards Busselton Holiday Village.
