This lovely guest lodge is close to Busselton without being in the bustle of the town. Instead you are in the Tuarts National Forest. The hosts are generous with their advise and offer a delicious hot breakfast. While the pool was too cold to use and the hot tub was not hot, the infra red sauna was a treat. Lots of great dvds to borrow as well. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: We were in the pool side double which was a bit small though there was a hallway for putting bags an...

Hello Laura

Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review. Even though you only stayed one night, we are always delighted when our guests enjoy the beautiful Tuart forest and commune with nature. We hope that our recommendations, suited to each guest individually, assist them in seeing the best of this amazing region and ensure that they take home memories to treasure.

We note that your booking was through Booking.com and on their site, our pool is listed as indoor (seasonal) so even though it is solar heated; in winter, of course there is insufficient sun to warm the pool. While there was always the option to gas or electrically heat the pool, we chose not do this and have all the required chemicals wafting into our lovely ‘morning breakfast room’ which overlooks the pool through to the inlet and forest and of course the exhaust ventilation fans running 24/7 ruining the peaceful environment that we so enjoy. Instead we opted for solar heating, ultraviolet sterilisation and a “carbon neutral option” pool for our guests to enjoy in the summer months.

And that’s why we recently installed our large heated Jacuzzi. I suppose that in the USA where you are from, a hot tub means just that and again booking.com does not have the option for heated Jacuzzi, just hot tub. In fact, I am told they actually mean the same thing – Jacuzzi just being a brand name. The temperature is set at 37 deg. Which is within the recommended and required manufacturer’s range of 36-38 degrees and not over as there can be a risk of heat stress. We would have been happy to explain this to you in our many and lengthy chats and wished that you had brought this to our attention that you thought it should be ‘hot’ and not just heated.

We are pleased that you so enjoyed the pool side Vasse Suite you stayed in. It is over 40 square metres and most find that this with the extra room with a writing desk, half size fridge with tea and coffee facilities, private ensuite, courtyard and separate queen bedroom is larger than most hotel rooms which average around 30 square meters. Having said that, can I suggest that next time you stay you might like to try our luxurious and large master suite, the Reinscourt Spa Suite which is over 45 square metres. It has a double spa bath which you can have to your preferred spa temperature, a large ensuite, a four posted bed and 4 double robes. We will also have 2 new large studio rooms from 1 December which are also over 35 square metres. Of course a little higher in tariff than $149 including a cooked breakfast which we are pleased that you so enjoyed but if you prefer a larger room with the facilities this would be a better option for you. We have many different types of rooms and hope to suit all budgets for our guests starting at only $129 per night including our substantial breakfast. For a Bed and Breakfast with all these options, the location, our guest facilities and more, we feel that we offer excellent value with lots of personal service and individual attention at no extra cost.

Thanks again for staying with us – we hope to welcome you both again in the future. Kindest regards
Peter & Suzanne

We stayed for a couple of nights and enjoyed every moment. Our room was upgraded on arrival and we had a lovely comfy bed, large bathroom and direct access to the indoor pool and spa. Suzanne and Peter gave us excellent local information for places to visit and eat, which added to the weekend away. The cooked breakfast was awesome, with something for everyone. We look forward to visiting again in the near future. We highly recommend Inn the Tuarts!

Many thanks Snooze9 for your positive and informative review. We put a lot of effort into adding to our guests' experience and enjoyment and it is extremely gratifying and rewarding to hear back from you in this way. But don't think that we feel that we've got it all right and that we can just lay back and let it roll on as it is....Oh no! We are very busy at the moment building a new entrance out on Rushleigh Rd to make us easier to find, an outdoor kitchen and BBQ to finish off the 50m2 pavillion ready for summer, and of course the 2 new studio rooms, which we hope to have ready in time for the Ironman event in early December. Again, our appreciation for your review and we too look forward to seeing you again soon.
Kind regards,
Suzanne and Pete

We stayed for a few nights and the four poster bed was firm and comfy, the showerhead was great and the spa was pure luxury. Lovely big room, tons of storage, and the facilities were all amazing, in this petite little haven in the Tuart Forest. Highly recommended! The cooked breakky is to die for!

Hello freeland and kind regards! Thank you sincerely for your generous and positive review, we are really pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. We are especially pleased that you found the bed comfortable and the breakfast so good. At times we have struggled to fit into the right accommodation category - are we a Mini -Resort? a Guest House? A Lodge? or a Bed and Breakfast? Perhaps it doesn't really matter, as your review certainly reinforces the latter category, but I particularly love your "petite little haven in the Tuart Forest" I think that says it all so well!
Thank you again,
Enjoy,
Suzanne and Pete

We firstly would like to say thank you so much to Peter and Suzanne for our experience in Busselton.
The room was fantastic, the bed was amazingly comfortable and the view was stunning.
We went for breakfast on our first morning and was happily surprised :) the breakfast was very filling and still Suzanne and Peter offered us more!!!! We were then about to go back to our room when Suzanne asked what we was upto that day, when we said we was off to sightsee and wasn't too sure where we was heading, Suzanne asked if we wanted a few pointers. When we said yes she went and got a map and started to help us plan the next two days, this was amazing for us and we feel we got more out of the local area than if we had planned our own days.
After getting a little sick I asked for help and they helped me out so much which I still am very grateful for.
I have to say that this family run business is absolutely fantastic, the best we have ever stayed in and we both travel world wide, from small hostels through to the biggest hotels in the biggest cities. We have already recommended this lovely place to some of our friends who are heading to Busselton and we have already spoken about heading this way in the summer and we will be staying here again.
Thank you Peter and Suzanne, we wish you all the success in the future and hope to see you soon :)

What can I say Louann82? I think yours is the best review we've ever received! A huge big thank you from both of us! Yes, Suzanne does love to tell people where to go...and she's good at it! We work very hard getting out as often as we can (someone has to do it!) to try out different beaches, places to eat, taste wine and beer, walk, sightsee, tour, and so on, so we are up to date with the best places to send our lovely guests, like you. As she probably said we've recently enjoyed the new Cheeky Monkey on Caves road which has a range of beers, cider and Killerby's wines accompanied by excellent and very reasonably-priced food; Silk Road with a fabulous range of silk products made in Cambodia from silkworms grown on the Harman's Mill Rd property, and lastly Gabriel Chocolate who really make chocolate from Cocoa beans sourced worldwide - to name just a few. Another snippet to entice you back during the spring, is Legend Charters started Whale Watch tours from Port Geographe -just around the corner, today. We're planning to try out Will's Domain tomorrow, which we've heard good things about.
We trust that the medical issue you were still suffering from whilst you were here has healed quickly and that you're feeling much better.
Kindest regards from Pete and Suzanne

Hello again, Mary C and many thanks for your kind and generous review. We are so pleased that both of you enjoyed it so much and that we were able to meet your expectations successfully. We continue to work at improving this place and the facilities and services we offer, so that others like you can share this precious little corner of unique Tuart forest. The message is starting to filter through to folks that not only is this a peaceful, relaxing place to stay but that it is so close and convenient to much of what the Busselton and Margaret River region has to offer, so its worth spending a day or so extra. We've also had quite a number of guests venture out into the Ferguson Valley, (part of the Geographe Wine region) which is also only a little more than half an hour from here. Again, thank you for your great review and we hope to see you again before too long.
Cheers,
Suzanne and Pete

Homey and tidy place with lots of privacy! Large screen TV and DVD player plus free rental of DVDs. Plenty of towels and toiletries! Really clean room and nice size spa. The absolute lovely breakfast is unbelievably as good as those home cooked by your grandmother! Really worth every dollar you spent on.

Terrific NinaS, thank you so much for your great review of Inn the Tuarts and our personalised service in particular. Whilst we are the first to acknowledge that big resorts have plenty to offer by way of facilities, you can sometimes feel like just one of the hundreds of people staying there. The new title for our type of property is 'hosted accommodation' where we, your hosts, are able to add a personal touch of service and make you feel at home. Many of our guests make comments to us like: this is home away from home, or it feels like their own place down south etc, and come back again and again - just like old friends. We love it, and hope to see you here again, too! Thanks again. Suz and Pete.
