There was so much bird poo and squid ink and it stunk I would of thought it would be clean for a famous jetty I was disappointed.

Hi Georgie, thanks for the feedback.

We do endeavour to maintain the jetty to the best of our ability and although we have regular maintenance days addressing the above issues, it's not something that we can complete daily.

Kind regards,

We paid the $4 ea ( kids are free) to walk the 1.5 km out to the underwater viewing chamber. Then we booked the next 15 min tour where there was only 10 people. We had a very strict 15 minutes down the three flights of stairs but had great viewing, we saw a huge school of fish and an octopus. As well as other little fish. After us the train tour came, lots of people! They have more time down there but I think you’d see more booking one of the small 15 min tours once out there ( this 15 min tour cost us about $15. ). Highly recommended , you really feel as though you are standing on bottom of the ocean taking part in sea life.

This was one thing on our bucket list and were glad we did it .The trip to the end of the Jetty is not fast so you get time to look around at the views .
