After taking a walk down York street, this little place looked nice enough. However, we left with a terrible taste in our mouths and over $50 poorer!
When we approached the till, three teenagers stood laughing and joking and having their own conversation which they finished before they served us. Once we had placed our order and sat ourselves down, we were bought a small plate of stale prawn crackers which should have been the first sign. Over 20 minutes later (with only one other family in the restaurant when we ordered) we got our food and we were bought a fork and a spoon. The food (pork chop plum sauce, fried rice and beef satay) was not great and for the first time in my husband and my own life we left without finishing or taking a doggy bag home. The pork chop in plum sauce was not very plum tasting at all and the pork was almost all bone! The fried rice was dry and not tasty and my husband did not enjoy his beef satay almost leaving 3/4 of it.
Whilst we were there three more Asian families came in and were shown tables to sit at with menus brought to their table and their order taken at the table. They were also brought water and cups and asked if they would like bowl and chopsticks. None of this had been offered to us even though the restaurant had 1/3 of the patrons when we went in.
Terrible terrible service and terrible food!
