My partner and I finally got the opportunity to dine here yesterday after hearing so many good reports lately. What a fantastic venue. Being a mid week lunchtime there were quite a few diners but we were able to get a table with a fabulous view of the harbour. On our arrival we were greeted and seated and offered water and the specials of the day. Entree was a prawn dish cooked two ways, we decided to share this and ended up having a fork fight for the last prawn, fantastic flavours!
I chose the fish of the day which was a magnificent slab of locally caught Gropher on a bed of mash with side veggies, delicious ! My partner ordered the steak sandwich (his personal fav) and his first reaction was " let's find out where they buy their meat from" it was so tender that you could cut it with your eyes. We would have loved to have tried some of the great looking cakes they had to offer but we had no more room to squeeze anything more in. Great excuse to come back! Great food, great service and the best view of Albany.
