The Brig Amity is a replica of the ship that first brought settlers to WA. She is a great vessel, built next to the spot the original Amity landed on Christmas Day 1826.
You can wander the decks for free, or for a small charge explore below as well. Try out the bunks, the captains cabin and walk around the bowels of the ship. Very interesting visit, with a recording of some of the sounds sailors would have heard, and the story of how the ship came to be here.
The original ship foundered off Bass Strait, Tasmania in June 1845.
