“We stayed much longer than expected....”
Reviewed August 7, 2014

The sea was relatively 'calm'. This meant we enjoyed the gusting noise of the blow hole, but not jets of water. No issues though, the views are awesome and so we stayed a while. Then... whales and lots of them. Mothers and calves, really close to the cliffs. Great views. And other whales breaching offshore. A tremendously great experience, like everything else we've done at Albany.

“Disappointing”
Reviewed June 17, 2014 via mobile

Pretty disappointing considering after walking for 800m, one only find a hole between the rocks that blew air after waves hit the cliffs below. I have seen better and more interesting blowholes in Victoria state and in South Island, NZ.

“Rugged Coastline”
Reviewed May 14, 2014

Plenty of walking involved and a little rough ground at times. However it is worth the effort just to see the views. The Blow Hole wasn't doing much the day we were there. I think it probably needs a fairly rough sea to 'blow' enough to see the water coming up.

“Very long walk for nothing”
Reviewed May 1, 2014

Took a long time to get there, a very long walk, and nothing happened. Waste of time and effort.
There should be a better indication of when is best to see them, so you don't waste your time

“Prepare to be disappointed ”
Reviewed April 9, 2014 via mobile

It's at least a 20minute drive to the blow holes. Unless it's a windy/rainy day don't bother heading there as you won't see any action.

There is a 15 minute walk to the site from the car park. It is only suitable for moderately fit people as it's downhill on the way there and uphill on the way back.
