Description: Welcome to the "NEW" Jades @ 14 Peels Place. My name is Jade and I am the new owner of 14 Peels Place. I am a chef by trade and over many years have worked for top class restaurants, cafes and lunchbars. Combining all this knowledge and experience I am now fulfilling my dream of owning my own cafe. I welcome you to Jades@14 Peels Place to try my cuisine. My menu will be updated to please the customers, with a class cafe menu, including gluten free dishes. Sit down in the comfy cafe (open fire when cold), the alfreso ( buckets of water for your pooches) and throw rugs for you. If you are in a hurry grab a coffee and takeaway snack. We have water views over the harbour from the cafe which makes for a tranquil place to eat, relax and take your mind off the every day stresses. Newspapers are supplied for you to keep up with the daily news. We haven't forgotten the children - they can have their own desk and chair to do their colouring in, their own babycinno, child size meals giving mum and dad a break to enjoy their coffee and food. If you have a group of up to 8 people for a meeting, seminar, a family gathering, group gathering etc the ideal room is available for such an occassion. Telephone 98474224 to make a booking. If you would like catering for corporate functions, parties, weddings etc . My valued staff and I look forward to seeing you at Jades @ 14 Peels Place.

“Good for coffee and cake”
Reviewed June 19, 2014

Warm fire was very welcome on a cold Albany morning even though the fireplace is quite small and tucked into a rear corner. Gluten free selections for morning tea included a cheesecake. I asked what the base was made of but staff were unable to say as the cake is bought from an external source. However, they were certain that it was gluten free. Thickened cream was provided automatically with both cakes purchased. Chai latte and cappuccino were very good. Decor is plain and dining furniture basic. Service was quick and pleasant. Didn't check out the toilets after previous reviews were poor.

Was recommended to try this place out.. Wouldn't go back again personally. The staff were rude and very unhelpful, the menu options quite boring and the food was below what I would call acceptable. All around just a bad experience.

“Good food, disgusting bathrooms”
Reviewed April 25, 2014 via mobile

Went with 5 other friends. Had the breakfast burger which was great. Other options looks good, nothing extraordinary on the menu. Basic, but good and priced reasonably for WA. Bathrooms were a mission to get to and were filthy. Not soap or TP as well. That's what you want before eating breakfast...

“Fab GF lunch”
Reviewed October 5, 2013

Its not often you get a café with such a wonderful variety of gluten free meals and desserts available to order straight off the menu so this place impressed me to no end! The staff were knowledgeable, accommodating and very friendly too. Thank you for such a wonderful lunch - the pork belly was just amazing, and the gluten eaters in our group enjoyed their hamburgers immensely! I only wish we had time to stay for coffee and cake but we'll be back for sure!
