We were very thankful to come across the AFGH overlooking the harbour. The rooms were cosy, clean and had all the necessary amenities. The service was fantastic. Sarin makes a great breakfast and couldn't do enough for us - a great manager and host. The eclectic décor was unique but grew on us over the couple of days we were there.

We stayed here for a night. The guesthouse had wonderful old charm to it. The staff were wonderful. They were helpful in providing information about the town and sights to see. The guesthouse were decorated with replica paintings. Breakfast was great. We had a few selections to pick from. I had an omelette and toast, my daughter had the grand breakfast which included eggs, toast, bake beans, grill tomato, bacon and my husband had an egg Benedict. That was just 3 selections out of 6 or 7.
Our room was large with bathroom. The room was clean. The decor may look out of date but it fits the time period of the house. Evening they served toast. There was a kitchen area where you can make tea, coffee or grab a glass if cold water. The staff were very accommodating to our needs. We really enjoyed talking to Sarin and the other 2 people. I didn't get their names.
The location was great. I recommend this guesthouse. It's not fancy but the people who works there are really nice.

We (2 couples) spent a night at the Albany Foreshore Guest House and our only regret was we did not stay longer. The rooms were small but very comfortable, with all our creature comfort needs met. The service was fantastic, the comfort factor high and the art work in each room was great. We really appreciated the complimentary ports, chocolates and orios. The offers of free toasted sandwiches during our stay was appreciated and we were blown away by the offer of lunch and drinks to take with us as we were departing. The big breakfast was magnificent and kept us going till late in the day. The location of the Guest House is great, very close to, restaurants, shops and attractions. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Would happily stay there again and would recommend it to couples staying in Albany.

Room Tip: Room 1 has free Wifi access and ensuite and room 4 has a large private bathroom with bath, shower, l...

Stayed here prior to our walk and post walk on the bibulmun track. Rooms are spacious and quaint. Sarin is an outstanding host friendly and welcoming. Sarin cooked the best omelette and upon us checking out gave us sandwiches, a drink and museli bar for our road trip.
Close to town, clean friendly highly recommended.

I recently stayed at this guest house and was very impressed with it.. The manager, Sarin, was very professional and welcoming. The bedroom was nicely decorated and very spacious. It had a good sized ensuite which was spotlessly clean. An excelent range of dvds were available free of charge to watch in my room. They also offer free toasted sandwiches around 5pm. And i was pleasantly surprised to be offered free rum as well.

Sarin was also the breakfast cook and made delicious eggs benedict for me.

The guest house is right in the centre of town with plenty of shops, cafes and attractions within easy walking distance.

I highly recommend this establishment if you are looking for comfortable, centrally located and good priced acommodation in Albany.

We stayed in this little B & B over a weekend. It was really lovely. The service man who was running the place was very attentive and helpful.
The hotel had lots of character with lots of painting on the walls and cabinets full of fab old cameras.
The room was really quirky. There were lots of paintings which wrote interesting, there was a heater and electric blankets which were awesome for the cold and wet day & evening!
Breakfast the next morning was lovely too :)

I arrived a bit earlier than the normal checking in time, but was met by Sarin, a lovely man who showed me to my room and spent time explaining the facilities on offer. I had one of the rooms that shared a bathroom, but found this to not be any inconvenience. A most enjoyable breakfast was had each morning and I was also offered (and accepted) a toasted sandwich in the evening. The location of the guest house was ideally located in the heart of the city and the hospitality shown to everyone by Sarin make this my first choice of places to stay when in Albany.

Room Tip: For Friday and Saturday nights, try to get a room back from the main road.
