Baranduda Homestead B&B Cottages
Reviewed March 16, 2014 via mobile

We stayed at the cottages from the 27th Dec to 6th Jan. We stayed 3 nights at the B &B and the remainder at the 2 bedroom cottage. We loved our stay and Liz and ken were wonderful. Place is clean and has everything u want. The best thing for us is the location and the peacefulness as well as they have the most comfortable beds! Everywhere I've travelled (and I've traveled alot) I've never stayed in a place where the bed is comfortable. I always dred going away for that reason as I have a fused spine and rib cage from chronic arthritis and if I have a crap mattress it just ruins my holiday as I can't sleep. They also have comfy pillows and plenty of them too! I always take my own but won't be when I go back. We are going back again this year, from 24th this time and staying until the new year again.
It's only 10-15 minutes to lake hume resort where our friends stay, and the same travel time into albury town centre, it's also close to some lovely little towns to visit and shop. We can't wait to go back. We also took our dog and parrot too! They loved It as well.
It's also reasonably priced. I can't speak more highly of the place. I only wish we could afford to take the time of work and go up there twice a year. Maybe in 2015!

Stayed: December 2013

We've booked Lotties Cottage and the Saddle Hut as a family group several times over the past 5 years. It has always been fantastic. From the time we arrived there were nice touches, a starter pack of food, the air conditioning on and lovely music playing. Immediately we felt welcome. We love the proximity to Wodonga, Albury, Yackandandah, Beechworth and Rutherglen. There is so much to do if you want and if you just want to relax we couldn't think of a greater place to read a book on the patio. It's just a great place for the kids to chill out and play "backyard" cricket. Elise & Mick

This is our favourite cottage accommodation in Australia. This was our second stay at Baranduda Homestead just outside Wodonga VIC. The fully-renovated almost-100-year-old cottage has all the familiar home touches which make this accommodation so wonderful, together with the surrounding farm and animals. Our children couldn't wait to get back to Baranduda. In fact they had talked about it for 2 years, so we did return and we weren't disappointed. From the gorgeous linen and soft towels, the kitchen with its welcome food including free range eggs, bacon, juice, milk, bread, butter and cereal, the fruit crate cabinet full of games and magazines, the latest additions of Country Style lying around, to the friendly dogs, this place is wonderful. It is really just like home.

We have had the pleasure of staying twice at Lottie's Cottage, just this year and we just feel right at home, when we are there. We went with our two boys 12 & 15 and they had a ball, climbing trees, cross country running around the property, playing with Rosie & Mosey (the dogs) and also feeding Teddy the horse. There were lovely evenings sitting on the verandah having a glass of wine and playing coutes. The cottage is beautifully decorated and the brekkie provisions, are all you could want. You can even make yourself a pot of percolated coffee. There is so much to do in the locate area. We visited the Hume Dame, where we took our boys and dog and they all had a great time in the water. Great family fun, great place to get away from the rat race, even if it is only for the weekend! The owners Ken & Liz are lovely people and make you feel very welcome! We will certainly visit there again one day.

We had a terrific time at baranduda homestead we came up for a Easter holiday to use our new boat on lake Hume. the location was great as we were only a 5min drive to a boat ramp. the owners were very accommodating as we needed a few extra beds and took our dog and they also had great parking for our boat. It was great to come home to such a welcoming cottage that brought all the family close together with a game of coutes or a walk through the farm and patting the horses and two friendly dogs. The accomidation itself was very nice we also had a bonfire. All round great place we all thoroughly enjoyed the holiday hope to go back there soon

We enjoyed 4 nights in the cottage during January 2013. It is a very nice setting and well appointed. The 3 boys liked playing with the Kelpie and going for walks along the drive to see the horse and cows. After busy hot days catching up with family in the area, it was really nice to come back to the cottage to relax. We would like to visit again sometime.

We've stay at the Saddle Hut on quite a few occasions, and when travelling with friends we've stayed at Lotties Cottage. Both cottages are lovely. The Saddle Hut is perfect for couples, nice and cosy, with all the amenities you need & all the breakfast supplies you could possibly want. The views from both cottages are divine, no matter the season. We travel between Wollongong and Mornington several times a year, making Baranduda the perfect mid way stop over. Ken & Liz are great hosts. They have created a wonderful, warm & inviting haven. For us, Baranduda is our home away from home, and we hope to have many more stays there.
