I'm not giving the Wantirna Hill Club the highest rating because it's a 5 star dining experience, which it certainly isn't, but because it has been delivering decent quality meals at fair prices and providing a pleasant environment in which to enjoy them, for many years.
We've been eating here on and off for probably 15 or more years and we've always been satisfied with the experience. We've never had cause to complain, but nor have we had reason to be lavish in our praise... hence the title.
The restaurant itself is pleasantly furnished with a welcoming atmosphere, the staff are always polite and personable, but above all, the meals are of a good quality (better than standard pub fare) and provided you have a shop-a-docket voucher - which 90% of patrons do - you can get a couple of very satisfying main courses and a glass or two of wine each for around $50.
This is why I'm giving it 5 stars!
