“Friendly and cosy”

Had a lovely girls' lunch here today with friends. Delicious soup, quiche and wrap. Very friendly and a great atmosphere. Been in the evening for pizza too and that was very authentic and tasty.

“Great coffee... Can be slow service of food when busy :(”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2013 via mobile

Was excited by the look of Moby... It looks like they took an old house, ripped it apart and turned it into a cafe... We ordered coffee and breakfast at the same time about 9am on a Sunday morning.. The staff were dressed casual and were friendly... The coffee was great ! I was very impressed with the coffee.. The food however took over 30mins to be delivered to our table.. I expected better food service for the price !

I would still recommend this venue.. But if its busy be prepared to wait

“Happy to wait for quality food.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2013

All too many places, that profess to be child friendly, only serve up fried and lifeless food. Moby's food is tasty and fresh, with many healthy options. The coffee is good and the staff are friendly. There are great baked goods and daily specials.Sure, there's a wait sometimes, but that's the price you pay when you're in a touristy, coastal town, during the peak holiday season. It's no different to the wait times you'd experience anywhere in Torquay during those times.

“Not Thursday...that the rubbish bin day”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2013

Another of our reviews of Coffee in Torqool...there are supposedly 37 places to get coffee in this hip fast town...so you'd expect that some cafes may actually make a decent coffee...in cred to Moby the coffee espresso is good and the service prompt and friendly...sadly no gluten free available when i was there but am told they are sourcing a new supplier. The decor is shabby chic...which oozes comfortable like grandmas old couch...sadly though sitting outfront like the great Italians...al fresco....the smell from a plethora of rubbish bins out the front squashed any coffee aroma and enjoyable vista. There is no way you could eat with all that bad air..The question is why have a bunch of rubbish bins out the front of your fine venue...it doesn't make sense...

“Nice but long wait for food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2013

We had the opportunity to dine here for lunch and breakfast whilst visiting Torquay. Its in a great location in an old house with lots of little rooms to sit and relax – great concept, very Melbourne! When you first arrive you’re not greeted and a little confused as to where to go menus and tables, so we just grabbed a menu from the counter and sat where we liked – this was a little disappointing.
Lunch menu was reasonably priced and a nice selection. I opted for the pumpkin salad and my partner the Chicken Baguette – both great sizes and very tasty and would order again. The wait was very long 30 minutes, which was excessive seeing as they were very quiet.
Breakfast was a little busier, we were concerned about the wait as we were heading to an event and needed a fast breakfast. I ordered the Muesli and Yogurt and my partner the Breakfast Baguette both very tasty, great coffee. The wait was still long again, which was frustrating.
My only criticism is the place needs good clean, cobwebs, filthy floors and dirty tables, all in all a great place, my favourite when visiting the area, nice hearty healthy food with a great view. Eftpos is available which is very handy.
