Great spot with the Prahran Market just across the road. Lots of options for eating, drinking and shopping in the area. The room was nice except that the king bed had a big lump down the middle where the mattress connector was (it was 2 single beds underneath. The room faced Commercial Rd but there was essentially no noise from the street.
The staff were somewhat disappointing (both at the front desk and in the hotel bistro) in that they were slow and sour in their attitudes. If the staff could be a bit more welcoming, helpful and vibrant to match the awesome art of the place then we would consider staying there again.

Scored a 3 night reduced rate. Requested a quiet room and the room was quiet for street sounds and other rooms/guests. Unfortunately there was a very loud intermittent vibration noise (think jack hammer) coming from the room aircon vent for a few minutes at a time (even though the aircon was off) which made for an interrupted sleep. Ear plugs helped. Room layout, facilities, decor and design were all fabulous. Great strong shower. Loved the T2. Staff friendly.

I have now stayed at this hotel 5 times over the last 6 months and am heading back next week. What can I say. It's great!!!! My current favourite place to stay. It's affordable, in a great funky part of Melbourne (nice change to saying in the CBD), FANTASTIC service, and comfortable rooms. You will either love or hate Adam Cullen's art works that adorn the interior, but luckily, I'm a fan of Cullen.

Only ever had one issue, which was a noisy AC. The staff took the feedback seriously and even checked the next time I stayed if the AC was OK. Bathrooms are on the small side, but still OK.

Good coffee in the cafe downstairs and the chinese restaurant is great.

As a very frequent business traveller, I don't normally look forward to spending yet another night in a hotel....... but this is one hotel that I am often reluctant to leave :->

Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Book the larger rooms to get a little more space.

I've stayed each month since January, and love the consistency, the location, the facilities and the vibe. The art is what it is - I enjoy the theme from floor to floor. The room is great, I always sleep well. Last trip booked twin queen beds as I had the teenager with me. There was more than enough space and a pull across curtain between the beds. Kitchen is always handy, internet is ten bucks a day, and the restaurant / cafe is quite good. 9 times out of ten the staff are great, and you can usually park on the street outside - the restrictions end at 6pm, so it works for my schedule. Fun, funky and great value in my opinion. - Julius

Room Tip: Not at front of building

This hotel is amazing. Comfy bed , great TV, and cooking facilities. The concept has had a lot of thought and attention to detail. I recommend it and even though its a little out of town there is a convenience store next door and a tram that takes around 15 mins to get to Crown Casino. Totally recommended.
