Reasonably priced, clean room, free internet but slow and difficult to connect. Owner helpful. Port campbell pretty little town in a good location for the Great Ocean Road.Would recommend this as an overnight stop .

Such a helpful and friendly receptionist - couldn't do enough for us. We booked off the street, last minute, and found just what we wanted. Roomy, comfortable beds (really comfortable), good shower, in the heart of the small town of Port Campbell.... and extremely reasonable. Would highly recommend this to anyone. Port Campbell is a pretty little town, with a lovely beach.

I imagine, though, that in the height of summer and tourist season that the pub over the road could be pretty active.

The surrounding coastal area is utterly amazing - World Heritage stuff. The 12 Apostles are stunning, so don't just quickly pass this place by. Make the effort - walk down the Gibson Steps to the beach to get up-close and personal to two of the Apostles... it looks like one, but keep walking and you will see the second. Magic stuff!

Being new to Oz we picked Port Campbell with a pin, it’s just a collection of hotels/motels around a beach, a couple of bars, shops and some restaurants but it’s a lovely little peaceful place and only a short drive from the famous 12 Apostles, beautiful rock formations in the sea but there was a bit of clever accountancy to get the total to twelve. We used the tourist office, this was the first Motel we’d tried in an attempt to keep costs down in overpriced Australia, as we needed advice and used them to book our accommodation from there on, they were so good. Port O’Call is only 100 yards across the road, within easy reach of the beach and the lovely bar there with stunning views, in town and near everything.
The guy on reception, on hearing my accent, was proud his family had come from Fife in Scotland in the mid 60s and explained how to work the free WiFi, what was the best restaurants and even where I could get a local brewed beer. There’s parking at your room door, very handy for humping heavy cases, the room was clean, spacious, had a queen bed, access to a deck front and back, so you could sit front or back, depending where the sun was and although we could’ve self catered we were too tempted by the advice we’d been given, we ate at the sea food restaurant nearby. Being able to have cereal for breakfast and not go to a café, saved a fortune over the 5 weeks we were away.
Our only complaint was, we were, at that time, on a tight schedule and could only stop one night.

Room Tip: Get one with direct access to the garden

On a sunny January evening on my Great Ocean Road trip, I got the last room in this nice motel. The guy at the desk did everything to make my stay comfortable; I received useful tips for a local dinner. Room was clean and quiet with a lot of space, wifi worked well and parking for my car was no problem.

I stayed in this hotel on 28-Jan-2012 for my family trip in Great Ocean road.

There were 6 of us (5 adults and 1 child). Hence, we told the owner that we would like to pay more for extra persons. But the owner promised that this apartment should enough for 5 persons as it has 1 double bed, 1 single bed and 1 queen size bed.

We felt disappointed after check-in as the apartment only cater for 3 persons. Only 1 single bed and 1 queen size bed and 3 towels are provided. We tried to talk to the owner many times, but the reception was closed till next morning, even before we check-out at 10am.

So, friend, please think twice before you make any booking to this motel and tried not to book it through booking.com because they might lead you to different motel and placed you in lower rate accommodation.

we arrived just after 9pm and left at 9am the next morning...never got to meet our hosts, who left a note for us taped to the reception office door...the room was fine, although the sofa bed was a bit uncomfortable.....good size room, good facilities, clean, powerful air -conditioning....the motel is well located with ample parking in the back....no restaurant and the town closes early, so make sure you are well prepared, especially if you have young children in tow....we drove down from Melbourne that morning and were lucky to get a take-away pizza.....all in all, a good motel!

Port Cambell is a small town not far from the '12 Appostles'. This motel is good for someone in transit. It has no restaurant of any kind but is very close to a number of cafes / bars. It has no views and the rooms open onto a tiny garden area. Everything was clean and comfotable but the decor is a bit drab. When we came to check out in the morning we couldn't find any member of staff to take our key.
