busy, cool spot... food was good, a bit pricey but probably fine for the area... the sunset from the patio, in or out, is marvelous...!

“Mixed bag.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 8, 2012

Since there are not a lot of choices for places to eat in Port Campbell we ate here for brunch and for dinner. Brunch was ok, I had the Vegetarian Breakfast and it was good value for money, generous serving and yummy. My husband had eggs benedict and we were a bit shocked when it came out as there was just the English muffin with the eggs on it and nothing else on the plate at all. Normally we would expect some sort of garnish or something but it just looked unfinished and not as good value for money. Dinner was ok, portion sizes good but quite expensive like everything else in Port Campbell seems to be. Great location with a nice view of the beach. I think the best choice of places available there though.

“Okay for a meal”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 3, 2012

We went to the 12 Rocks since all the other places in Port Campbell seemed closed. We had a look at the menu and got the sesame encrusted fish with salad and the parma with seasonal potatos and veg. The parma was good but the fish was unseasoned and the portion wasn't too satisfying.
The service was good and the staff was friendly and I think sitting outside in the summer might be really nice too.

“Good restaurant and location.”

We visited the restaurant as a group, a d we could pre-order our dinner 30 minutes in advance. The food was not culunair high standards, but just plain good food. The lortions were also large enough. Great place. Would visit it again next time.

“12 Rocks - Friendly, busy, OK, would go back for a casual meal”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2012

You order your own meal - and the drinks are ordered in one location and food in another. And then you have to carry your drinks (beer, wine, two plastic glasses of water) to your table. Not easy through a swinging door. The views of the water are limited from some locations in the restaurant and the interior seemed a bit noisy for us. That being said, the staff seemed friendly and helpful, the beer was good and cold and the wine was decent - but the list was limited. My Thai Green Curry with Chicken and cashews special was short on curry, but was tasty. The chicken schnitzel was quite acceptable for casual dining - the portions were generous. We would go back for a casual meal given the chance.
