Went to this restaurant for a birthday dinner and was lucky enough to experience a superb 8 course degustation extravaganza. Fabulous view out to the sea bathed in the light of the silvery moon. Every course was an absolute delight to the taste buds as well as the eyes. Beautifully presented and an exciting combination of flavours and we were well looked after too. Had a fabulous night and recommend this lovely restaurant highlly.

Despite the weather we decided to try the Lorne beach pavilion for family lunch. Simply amazing! Top quality pate and the beef cheek is melting in your mouth. Top chef for prime location and casual service. I highly recommend this hidden gem

Wife & I made our booking for 7.30pm during our Thursday lunchtime walk. We were the only booking on the page at that stage. Half expected a call all afternoon to explain as we were the only booking, the restaurant will not open. But no, we turned up at 7.30pm to find we were the only diners in the place. We then proceeded to have one of the best meals, nights and faultless service looking out over the ocean. Coffees & wine by the fireplace topped it all off perfectly. I know I have had better meals & service over the last 30-odd years, but I am struggling to think of one at the moment. Bravo LBP.

This restaurant was booked out on Sunday evening of the Queen's Birthday long weekend. However we happened to enter and request a table right after a cancellation. What luck! The place has a lovely ambience, with things like candle-like lighting, blue fairy lights, fresh flowers, fireplace and a neutral ocean theme. Even though it was night, you could see the little white waves on the sand out the expansive water-facing window.

We weren't that hungry so ordered only mains and planned on dessert. However the chef kindly gave us a sample of the salmon special entree -- very nice.

For main, I had the roast special. The blackboard did not have a price, but when the bill came I was thrilled to find it was only about $18.50! This was no 'pub' roast. At first sight I was worried it was too rare. But it tasted divine -- there was a mustard-type flavour that was so tasty. Potatoes were slightly crispy -- perfect. No complaints about the rest of the vegetables either. The serving size was generous enough -- not the teeny size you sometimes get at 'good' restaurants.

My friend also had mainly praise for his meal, particularly the brisket.

In the end we didn't feel like dessert, so can't comment on that course.

In summary we were glad to 'lash out' and dine here rather than get a hamburger as we had planned. A very enjoyable evening.
