It was as if there was a change of shift half way through our meal. We began with good bread, oil and butter and an amuse bouche which was unexpected and delicious. Our entrees were excellent and interesting as there is a new chef and the web menu has been superseded. A great start! Then we waited, and waited, and waited. The staff seemed a bit directionless, and had no information from the kitchen so just told us a few times that our mains were coming. Then finally they did. My lamb was totally overcooked and well below average, and the sous vide steak was a tasteless soft piece of meat, ruined. What a contrast.
I have high hopes for this place as the location is stunning, the prices are high, and the menu reads well, so the delivery needs to step up.

I just love the Lorne beach pavilion. They often have specials which we like to take advantage of. 2 courses for $40 or 3 for $49 including a glass of wine. The view is just amazing overlooking the coast. Last time we went, there was a beautiful rainbow over the lighthouse whilst we enjoyed mouthwatering pork belly for entree followed by a succulent chicken breast for main and finished with a cheese plate. Or table was right near their wood fire, just gorgeous. Can't wait to go back! It's only an hours drive along the coast from Geelong, a great little getaway!

Having had pub meals for the last few nights we thought we would try a resturant and were lucky to find this one open on a chilly winters evening. The waiter was friendly and helpful with a new menu; the food was excellent (we had the quail and the lamb) and we were warm in a lovely environment. Not cheap but well worth it. The uninterrupted view of Lorne beach was an added bonus.

Went for dinner and sat at the cafe listening to the waves crashing. Cold winters night but the outdoor heaters were doing their job.
The open steak sandwich had the best steak ever at an excellent price.
Good service and great place to chill out and relax.

Went here on a relatively quite Saturday for a quick lunch in the cafe Section
it was pricey and the food abominable , Ive had better pasta from the frozen meals section in a supermarket . My partners Fish and Chips were burnt and salad was gross
Go here for a coffee BUT DONT ORDER A MEAL
Service was less than adequate for a $150 lunch
Much better places to go
