These falls were fantastic. Although one word of warning is that the first lookout at the top of the falls is a somewhat easy walk in 5 minutes, but the fantastic look out at the bottom of the falls is a good 300+ steep staircase, that is a good 10 minute walk.
The view from the bottom of the stairs is even more fantastic. You can also do some walking in the river bed across the rocks to get closer and relax.
There is also a strenous walk that begins here right to the mouth of Lorne. It is not for the unfit as it will require walking on undefined paths at times, climbing over rocks, maintained fallen trees, crossing the river beds. There is also 2 beautiful falls to view here. Recommended for people with bush walking experience. This walk to lorne althrough is 7.5km is tough and can take a good 3+ hours to get through it. plenty of spaces to sit along side the river at parts- great to bring a small picnic.
Althrough most of this walk is down in some form of shade, you will still get a bit burnt so rememebr the sunscreen. (also even the fittest will work up a sweat).
