“A must do in Lorne”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2014

These falls were fantastic. Although one word of warning is that the first lookout at the top of the falls is a somewhat easy walk in 5 minutes, but the fantastic look out at the bottom of the falls is a good 300+ steep staircase, that is a good 10 minute walk.

The view from the bottom of the stairs is even more fantastic. You can also do some walking in the river bed across the rocks to get closer and relax.

There is also a strenous walk that begins here right to the mouth of Lorne. It is not for the unfit as it will require walking on undefined paths at times, climbing over rocks, maintained fallen trees, crossing the river beds. There is also 2 beautiful falls to view here. Recommended for people with bush walking experience. This walk to lorne althrough is 7.5km is tough and can take a good 3+ hours to get through it. plenty of spaces to sit along side the river at parts- great to bring a small picnic.

Althrough most of this walk is down in some form of shade, you will still get a bit burnt so rememebr the sunscreen. (also even the fittest will work up a sweat).

“Lots of steps, but worth it.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 28, 2014

Need some cardio on your beach holiday? Erskine Falls is the place to go, don't be deterred by the steps, the scenery is beautiful. There are many walking tracks you can take, places to sit and have a picnic (just remember to take a rubbish bag so that you can take your rubbish with you). Take some sunscreen, some water and your camera and enjoy yourself!

“Great mini hike”

Such a beautiful place to go and a great scenic hike along the slow running creek. To get down to the falls included about 200 stairs so obviously not very wheelchair friendly. A great site to visit

About 10 km from Lorne and worth a quick look. Very peaceful. Quite steep steps to get to the falls.

The view point is incredible and we enjoyed climbing and walking around the water away from the platform.
