Clean rooms and well appointed. Beds firm and decently comfortable. Bathrooms small. Great location close to shops & restaurants. Heating not the best in winter, rooms quite cold. Staff friendly & helpful. Free wifi. Comfortable stay for the night.

The sandridge is a great place to stay located on the main street of Lorne.
Ocean view in a comfy room.
Quiet spot and close to shops.
Great online deal.
Super comfortable beds with electric blanket.
Long hot showers perfect in winter.
Good heating.
Also in room: toaster, plates, bowls, cutlery, mini fridge, microwave and dvd player.
Always happy to return and recommend

Cannot beat the location. We booked the premier King room which was at front of the complex, main road frontage with good beach aspect and within steps of two great restaurants in Marks and The Maple Tree. Room is comfortable, reasonably spacious and good balcony area. After four prior destinations including a high quality Guest House in Sorrento the bed was easily the best after a long day. Only negative is the car parking which is off street but with high occupancy the spaces are tight and not great if you pride your car. Reception staff were good and informative .

I chose a room up top and the views were what I'd hoped for. The room was neat, tidy and comfortable. It had all the appointments you'd expect from a motel. Easy walk to the shops and just over the road from the beach. The stairs can be a bit hard with heavy bags/cases but I guess that's the price you pay for a view.

Room tip: Rooms at the back, up top, are cheaper but still have a great view and also feature a balcony.

We stayed in the executive room (room 12), which was on the second floor based on a Groupon Deal.

The check-in process was very smooth and easy.
Got a good explanation of where everything was and how it all worked. Also got recommended some decent places to eat. Can't fault the guy at the desk for his pleasant check-in (checkout was equally as easy with a friendly hello, here's the key and thank you for staying with us).

Parking was not under cover but was off street.

The room itself was everything I would expect. Being not the most basic room, we were greeted with pleasant views of the beach (from small balcony), a comfy bed and sofa with all the basics one would need: Coffee+tea, en-suite bathroom, TV with free DVD library at reception and small table to eat a meal or do some work.
The internet was good enough to do streaming on without buffering.

The room was cleaned daily by a very happy and smiley young lady who did a good job.

Being a motel, there are no room services or food options but there is enough around town to figure something out.

For the price and what you get, I'd stay here again because you get all the basics (with some comfort) that are clean and presentable for even a week stay (we only stayed a weekend but would stay longer)

Room tip: Executive Room 12 is furthest from the street and quietest
