My wife and I have been to The Chapel twice now. It is a wonderful building overlooking a large valley of eucalypt trees. If you are lucky you will see a koala or two. You will definitely see many birds of different types, especially cockatoos.

The chapel is two-storey and there is plenty of stair climbing to do to get from the kitchen to the bedroom (for me, this is a plus - free exercise!). The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and the DVD collection is very large. It is close enough to the township to be convenient, and secluded enough to be very relaxing.

Annie and Ian are very kind and are helpful when you need them. This is a fantastic place to stay as a couple. If you are interested in the amazing bushwalking in the area then this is an awesome place to base yourself.

The Chapel is undoubtedly a very special place to stay, surrounded by the bush and comfortably and attractively fitted out. The breakfast supplies were minimal, however. We bought our own fruit, muesli and yoghurt to supplement it. And normally with a B&B the host makes some effort to welcome guests and show an interest in their well-being. Here when we arrived the key was in the door, but no note of welcome or anything else to show that they knew who we were. We only met the owner when we went up to their house to pay the bill. You could argue that if you choose to stay in accommodation like this then you are quite happy not to see another living soul, but to be completely ignored in what calls itself a B&B felt very odd and rather rude. If you think of the Chapel as self-catering accommodation you will probably like it very much.

The Chapel was the perfect place to stay for my anniversary with my partner. At first my partner was a bit weiry with no window coverings but it was brilliant waking up to the birds and not a person in sight! Beautiful day bed looking out to the bush, quality provisions provided, privacy and just overall a great place to stay. Have been to Lorne around this time each year and this has definately been the best place we have stayed by far!

The Chapel was a perfect way to spend my partners birthday and our 3 year anniversary...and also a great place to recover after Meredith Music Festival.
This place is an absolute treat, the attention to detail is second to none, it is warm, cosy and interesting.
Breakfast supplies were great, and the kitchen was fully stocked with every utensil and appliance you need, the bed was big and comfy, the day beds were great for snuggling up and reading books in the afternoon sun, and the DVD collection was great. I have recommended this place to everyone.
The single downside is that is no bath tub but saying that the shower is amazing, and big! and the water pressure superb. Couldn't rate this haven high enough

Overall, had a great stay in Lorne in this lovely accommodation. Short drive to the main strip. Can walk to the beach but it is a bit hilly.

Only things to consider when staying here (and not in the owners control) is (a) the wild life - whilst it was fantastic getting up close and personal with koalas and other natives, they are very loud creatures, particularly at 5am in the morning when the sun is rising, and (b) the chapel could have been cleaner (mainly kitchen utensils, pots and pans probably left by a previous occupant) but it didn't impact our stay.

After reading the first review I was a bit nervous about staying, but can I say what a magical place. How a Peeping Tom could have got to there is beyond me. A great relaxing time was had and would recommend to anyone. Great host and hostess.

Big windows, no curtains and beautiful views,
Then when night time came we were surprised to catch a person looking in the window back at us, my husband yelled out and they ran away.
We wont be returning for obvious reasons.
