“Average sleep, great swimming pool and pizzeria”
Reviewed December 26, 2013

After arriving at the Ramada resort we were pleasant surprised by the amount of facilities they have. Which include a swimming pool, spa, tennis court, restaurant and pizzeria. The pizza's of the pizzeria are delightful and the swimming pool is clean an have nice beds.

When we entered our cottage we were happy to see that there were all sorts of appliances, including a fridge, freezer, washer and even an dryer. However the washer had sand in it which made it unusable. Also there was no air conditioning in the rooms and because of the hot weather it was quite hot in cottage. The TV have digital and analog stations but both had very poor reception which made the digital stations useless and the analog ones hard to watch.

The floor of the cottage is wood but it wasn't that clean unfortunately, just like the bathroom floor. There is internet available in the cottage but it isn't free.

I recently stayed at the resort with my family for 5 nights. We stayed in cottage 156 and it was great - clean, comfortable and large enough for 4 adults. After reading several negative reviews for this resort, we are glad that we made the booking as our experience was a positive one.

The only negative that l raise is in respect to the deck, a lick of paint is required.

I would stay here again and would recommend to families..

Stayed here a few times and love the resort. However had an issue in the past with cleanliness. Pleasing to see that the pool area was cleaner than last time and a crawly installed in the pool. Would recommend that the broken poolside beds are removed as these are dangerous. Area still needs attention and regular cleaning! Pizza restaurant is fantastic can never fault it.

Despite the couple of days of heat in Victoria, we had a really comfortable stay at Ramada Resort. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a really friendly and helpful Abby at reception. As we settled into our cottage, we were pleasantly surprised by the amount of facilities provided, especially in the dining area where one can comfortably prepare and cook a meal with a plentiful selection of cookware. Although we didn't cook during our stay, it is definitely something that will bring us back for another stay, should we bring our grandparents who prefer homecooked food. There is only one and heater and one air-conditioner, which are both situated in the living room - there are none in the bedrooms. However, this did not really faze us due to the cool change at night (thank goodness!), thus we were comfortable enough sleepingin our bedroom. We noticed that Ramada is located nicely opposite the Phillip Island Wildlife Park, for those who love nature. Overseas tourists who are not travelling with a car may not find Ramada feasible, as tourist attractions are a fair way away. However, if you're a local and is travelling by car like we were, Ramada is wonderful place to stay.

Stayed for a night. Delighted to see resort facilities and a sizeable cottage for a family of 4. There is no heater in rooms, only one in the living room. So, can be cold at night but rooms are comfortable and clean. Wifi is not free and can't dial to local phone number. Accessible to all attractions and restaurants.

For my friends and I for a little get away and catch up, it was a great place - think we were in cottage 197. However there was concerns, also a few things that you should consider. Funny story the second lot of toilet paper was really hard to find, they had put it at the back of a cupboard behind towels in the bathroom but took us nearly a day or two to find, so that wasn't great. In our cottage, the left sliding door was extremely difficult to move, and the fly screens have no lock which isn't major but we would've like to have just those open during some hot nights. When we were looking through the kitchen utensils some had water left in them - easily cleaned out but not impressed. Also, when the kettle boiled water would splash out and it was extremely dangerous. So there was a few problems with the kitchen! Although on a positive side, it is a lovely walk around the resort, and even though we never got to go swimming in the many pools or to the spa or gym, they looked nice from what we saw. Plus, the Pizzeria was great! I was disappointed in the restaurant - we never went but - the staff told me it was open at one certain time and date, and the website said differently, and the notice on the restaurant window said totally different times and dates to what I had been told. Therefore I was a bit annoyed with the miscommunication, they should have the times and dates correct, it really doesn't seem that difficult. Now being a Wyndham owner I was not thrilled with the overall resort, it is good but it seems they like to not tell the truth about everything, a document I found from Wyndham stated that "there's fans in the bedrooms" whereas that is incorrect, there was one fan and an A/C which is in the lounge room/kitchen area. Which begins another problem, it only moves up and down so the kitchen is freezing and the living is sort of warm still and then the bedrooms suffer. It was a good get away, we all enjoyed it, but for me personally coming from other beautiful Wyndham resorts like Torquay this was not up to standard.

My husband and I stayed here with my parents when we visited Philip Island in November. The two bedroom cabin was quite lovely and had all the amenities we were looking for. There was even a bottle of wine left on the table as a welcome present! I can imagine how busy the resort gets in summer, but I think it would still be. Quite peaceful. The beds were comfortable and the showers were hot. We will definitely be back!
