“What a view”

This is the second time we have stayed at The Waves Apartments. It's a really lovely apartment block and It's location is fantastic. Located opposite the beach, approximately 250 metres from the pier and main street of Cowes. We have been fortunate enough to be given water views on both occasions. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean. The only drawback is there is no pool. But with the beach across the road, why use a pool. We would definitely stay here again. Fairy penguins are located 20 minutes away (by car). Good idea to eat before the penguin parade, as most take aways are closed by the time you get back to Cowes.

Room Tip: Always ask to be upgraded on an ocean view room, and also call them to ask for their best rates. We...

We stayed in a beachfront suite on the level above the reception. We got a lovely view across the grass, trees, and onto the bay and jetty. We enjoyed the sounds of children playing in the playground opposite, and the ferry coming and going at various times during the day. We found the apartment ideally suited for our family of 5. Three of the beds were in the kitchen which wasn't a problem. Pull the blind down in the bathroom to block the light at night. Everything we needed was provided: towels, soap, linen, bowls, plates, cups, glasses, cutlery, kettle, toaster. The fridge is a very generous size. Two TVs. We parked our car in the underground car park beneath our apartment. They have thought of everything here. We loved walking down the street for our meals and shopping, and the beachside walks were perfect too. We felt like going for a swim, it looked so nice in the water.

Room Tip: Choose a beachfront suite, its a lovely view!

I was looking for an overnight stop of some quality with 4-5 separate beds. The waves lived up to its advertising. It was excellent value, the quality of the appartment was spot on and very clean.
The receptionist, Carolyn was an absolute treasure. She was happy and welcoming on all occassions.

Room Tip: Parking is by token access once you have booked in.

We stayed here just for one night!! In a deluxe queen room! Beautiful large bathroom with corner spa! Comfy bed and fully self contained which would be great for a longer stay!! Short walk to shops and resturants!

Stayed here with my wife and 3 year old daughter for 3 nights in a beach view suite. The suite was a good size but oddly laid out with the second 'bedroom' adjacent to the kitchen (there are floor plans on the website) and a window between the bathroom and main bedroom/ lounge that means the room is lit up when the bathroom light is on. We stayed on a hot weekend and the split system air con was very noisy. Aside from that, everything is new and clean though, reception check in staff are very friendly and the location across the road from the beach and park is fantastic. Short walk to main strip of Cowes with cafes, restaurants. Would stay again.

Stayed at Waves for the Australia Day long weekend in the one bedroom apartment (1 queen bed & bunk bed (definitely for kids) in the meals area). Apartment was spacious with a well equipped kitchenette. Location can not be faulted being right across from the park, kids playground and the beach.
The only issue would be the glass window in the toilet/bathroom which faces the main bedroom allowing those in that area to see the outline of anyone using the toilet or shower.

Would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Rooms facing Steele Street are quieter.

We booked this accomodation after a representative from 'Getaway Phillip island' contacted us telling us they had a room fro us here. The accomodation was fine, no problems, however booking through Getaway Phillip Island was a complete nightmare. As soon as they received my money, they just couldnt care less. They never contacted me regarding confirmation, I had to continuously email them up until the day of check in. I advised them that I would be checking in after hours, which meant I had to go to their office and open a safe to get the key to the apartment. I had to chase them for the code to the safe because they still hadn't contacted me hours before check in.
When we finally arrived, I opened the safe and there was no key. I was made to stand outside and call their emergency number until they finally picked up and came with the key. There was no apology at all. They even made US feel like we were annoying THEM.
I would recommend staying at The Waves, but book directly through them, not through Getaway Phillip Island.
