Great to see koalas in their natural habitats but some paths in the conservation center didn't lead anywhere. I mean of course they lead somewhere, but on the way.... There were no animals whatsoever. The koalas were cute and they were conserved nicely alright :9

on the board walks you can nearly touch these guys, they are big & lazy so you've plenty of time to admire them

We decided to stop in at the conservation centre as we were on Phillip Island for the Penguins and the fee to get into the Koalas was a very reasonable $11.50 for an adult. You are guaranteed to see a few Koalas as they are asleep pretty much all day and they are walled in but the whole set up of the place is fantastic. On top of the Koalas there were a few wallabies around which made it even more worthwhile and we easily spent close to an hour taking our time to walk around the place and check out the information inside.

Five children and partner visited as part of a day on Phillip Island - Monday July 29 2013.

A wonderful building and Visitors Centre complex but a distinct lack of koalas and very little in the way of handlers to ask questions of. Kids enjoyed spotting the koalas in the trees but we were done inside of 20 minutes.

If your going to here then do it as part of the 3-park package which includes the Heritage Farm and the Penguin Parade...
