First time visitor to cowes, hadn't booked anything and on the back of trip advisor we decided to go to the Thai on the island. It was 730pm on Saturday night, and it was packed. Always take that as a good sign. As hasn't booked had to wait a little while for the next available table. Food very flavoursome, I had the prawn green Thai curry and had lots more flavour than other places have eaten at. Recommend the coconut rice. Drinks were standard wine and beers. Price very reasonable. Had coconut ice cream which in hindsight was probably not the best of choices but all in all decent Thai restaurant. Would recommend.

One of the best thai foods I have ever tasted. Mixed entree was nice, we didn't like the fishcakes though they were rubbery and small and not much fish, more like tofu? Other entrees were delish.
Satay chicken was absolutely perfect. Coconut rice was yummy and sweet, the thai beer was good.
Service was ok. The owner would not let us sit at a table for 4 as we were only 2, even though there were 2 free and one about to leave, 2 others has only 2 people at tables for 4. My little girl of 11 years was being looked up and down at by another patron and I asked the owner if we could move to the other table, and told him my daughter was not comfortable being stared at, but he was more concerned a larger group might come in, even though they closed about half an hour later with no new customers. Not impressed with that, but the food was great and the creepy guys left after I stared them back.

We stopped in to Cowes for an early dinner on our way to the Penguin Parade. We didn't expect much but thought we'd give Thai on the Island a try.

The food was fresh and delicious (we had a pad kee mao and larb gai), the service was super fast and friendly and the atmosphere was homely.

Definitely recommend a visit if you're in town.
