“genuine park”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2013

OK - so I'm not a big fan of wildlife parks and zoos as often the enclosures are too small and the animals look bored ....but this was a little different.

Its a family-run place and lacks a bit of spit and polish but the animals seem well-care for and the wallabies are great! they are wandering (hopping) about everywhere and are very tame... do try and take the path out into the wilds as by the ponds you will also see black swans and red kangeroos.

Having seen the Penguin Parade the night before (and paid a reasonable sum to see some small shadows move up a beach) this was very good value by comparison. Some of the penguin stash should go this way... after all more tourists for all sightseeing trips is better overall for the island.

“Lovely to feed the kangaroos”

Excellent seeing all the Australian wild life. And being able to feed and touch the kangaroos and wallabys was amazing. A very good afternoon.

“Great experiance, enclosures need some renewing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2013

We had a great experience feeding the Kangaroos and Wallabies, we just held out our hands and they come bounding up to you, we even fed a joey in its mothers pouch. They are very gentle and even small children were hand feeding them. The flies are a total pain so be prepared to flap them out of the way. Walking around the HUGE scrub enclosure was brilliant, saw so many babies.
The enclosures are in need of updating as are the signs, some were unreadable. There is nowhere to really sit outside and a few benches would be great.
Seeing the animals roaming free was a real treat and they have lots of varieties of native animals.

“Not so wild...really quite tame!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2013

This place was great for all the kids, they loved that we could feed most of the animals by hand. Take so aerogard and a hat...the flies were terrible! Take your own food and drink, there is not even a coffee machine here!!

“Great for kids”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2013 via mobile

Ok so the reviews are correct, this place is a bit of a dump. But... The experience for kids is fantastic because everything is close and there is a lot going on. You get a bag of pellets to feed to the wallabies (or whatever you want...) and they come bounding straight up to be fed. You can feed emus, kangaroos, and you can touch pretty much whatever you are game enough to. They are all very tame and all look well cared for. But... This is no zoo or NGO conservation centre. The enclosures are very rudimentary, even barren. So good for the humans, but bad for the animals...
