“Favourite breakfast spot!”
Reviewed October 20, 2012 via mobile

The fabulous food, service and views keep us coming back every time we visit Apollo Bay.

I especially love the Turkish eggs - baked to delicate, soft perfection and oh so flavoursome.

But everything I've tried on the menu has been fantastic, and always great value.

Tip - get here early so you can score one of the window/balcony tables. Then watch the world go by :-)

“Nice place to stop, dine and have a drink with a view of the strand and the beach and water”
Reviewed September 16, 2012

Probably one of the more interesting spots in Apollo Bay which seems to have plenty of local fast food style cuisine with badly lit interiors and flourescent lighting and hard chairs to sit on.

At least here there was a view and some decent cuisine, nice service and some nicely priced wines. My wife had her first Kangaroo burger and I had the venison pie. Both were good although my pie had some grit but I can give slack to earthy cuisine if it tastes good!

“a perfect lunch stop in Apollo Bay”
Reviewed September 12, 2012

We were on a tour of the Great Ocean Road that stopped for lunch in Apollo Bay. Lucky for us that we chose La Bimba as our lunch stop. This charming and cozy restaurant upstairs with a view of the bay was the perfect place to soak up the atmosphere of this small town. We let our waitress know that we had limited time before returning to our tour bus and she made some wonderful recommendations based on our limited time. We each had a sandwich on turkish bread- mine was the silverside which was one of the most tasty sandwiches I have had in a long time. They also have a very nice wine list. My only regret is that we did not have enough time to sit and while away the afternoon with another glassof wine here as many regulars appeared to be doing.

“Absolutely LOVED this place!”
Reviewed September 6, 2012

We were walking around in the rain looking for a place to have dinner about 2 weeks ago in Apollo Bay. Came across a sign on the sidewalk of this place. Wanted to have SeaFood Platter and this place was more affordable than the other place on the corner. Decided on this one. you can bring your own wine but corkage is $ 10 (australian). Had an amazing meal and dessert. Our waitress was brazilian, Natália, a sweetheart, I am also brazilian. We brought our own wine we purchased in one of the local wineries. My spelt risotto was to die for! The mussels so yummy you could lick the bowl! The dessert, Fantastic! Chef Corey should be competing on Master Chef Australia! Highly recommend it!
