“Amazing Views of Apollo Bay”
Reviewed January 16, 2010

Stewart's B&B is located on a hill overlooking the beautiful Apollo Bay. Our room & bathroom were absolutely lovely...very large and spacious! Jan was such a gracious hostess as well -- and her cooked breakfast was fantastic! Would highly recommend staying here!

We stayed at Stewart's B&B for 4 days in September. Our room, and view, was one of the best we have stayed in with a panoramic view of the ocean. Jan Stewart, the owner, was extremely helpful and made us feel very much at home. Her breakfasts are wonderful with a great choice and served on the patio in front of our room.

The setting of the B&B is great, just outside the main town but only a few minutes walk to the centre with a good selection of restaurants.

We would very much recommend this B&B for a perfect stay if you intend to really get to know the Great Ocean Road and the fantastic environment and wildlife of this part of Victoria.

Excellent good value stay.

My husband and I recently stayed at Stewart's B&B for three nights and the views were awesome. The bed was a bit harder than we liked but you can't have everything. Bath was up-to-date and beautiful. Jan was a wonderful hostess and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

We stayed at this B&B for 1 night during our trip along the Great Ocean Road. I only wish we'd booked to stay here longer. The B&B is conveniently located about 1km from the main road on a slight incline, which provides fantastic views from your room, through the big picture windows that run along one side of the B&B. There is also decking that runs along the outside, so you can sit out and enjoy the view. The place is surrounded by farmland, so there are cows and sheep roaming just outside as well.
This place is the perfect combination of a tranquil stay, in a close proximity to the Great Ocean Road and Apollo Bay. The owner Jan made us feel very welcome and even recommended a couple of local restaurants for our dinner.
The next morning she made us a delicious breakfast in our rooms, and we got to choose what we would like included /not in our brekky.
Our room was great, and sported a brand new modern en suite bathroom with a big shower. I can't recommend this B&B more highly, if its available book yourself in here and you won't be disappointed.

We picked this b&b based on trip advisor reviews, and stayed for one night as part of our honeymoon. We were absolutely delighted with our choice.

The property is in a fabulous spot in apollo bay, on the edge of town, raised on a hill with views that are simply breathtaking! Sitting in the room looking out over apollo bay through the floor to ceiling windows with a bottle of local wine and homemade biscuits (thoughtfully left out by the owner Jan in the communal lounge) was a highlight of our honeymoon.

We stayed in the harbour room, and following Jan's advice not to draw the curtains fully, we awoke to sunrise over the bay.

As stated on other reviews, the breakfast is wonderful - we stayed in lots of 5 star hotels across Aus / NZ on our honeymoon, and our 3 course breakfast at Stewarts', served to us in our room was the equal of any of them. My wife says I must mention boston beans - and my french toast with poached berries was amazing - mmmm!

Apollo bay was a convenient stop on our trip down the Great Ocean Road, and a wonderful place to spend a night or two. We saw lots of koalas in the wild on trees right by the road (Jan provided helpful advice on local sights etc).

All in all, a wonderful place, perfect for a honeymoon and great value - we paid 140 AUD for one night in November, could happily have stayed for longer if we'd have had time, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the place.

We have just returned from two nights at Stewarts Bed and Breakfast in Apollo Bay. What fantastic accommodation. The views are simply magnificient and Jan the host is just gorgeous. She has a fabulous breakfast menu to choose from and actually brings it to your suite at the time you specify. We had banana home-made pancakes with caramel sauce...., espresso coffees and orange juice..... to die for!!!!! The furniture and fittings are modern and lovely, and I liked the fact that we had our own entrance and deck as do all suites. It is about a 10 minute walk or 1 minute drive into town and we enjoyed a walk down to the beach and then soaked in our double corner spa before going out to dinner! We will be back, highly recommend this property.

Self, wife and grown up daughter stayed here for one night in March 2008. The property very quiet, located on a hillside and has views over Apollo Bay.

Rooms are well appointed with everything you need. The owner is very friendly and cooks a lovely breakfast.
