Stayed one night and it was a great tripadvisor recommendation. The rooms are open plan with good kitchen facilities and a sitting area with tv. Upstairs there were two single beds tucked into the small loft room. There was a small deck as well.
Being on a quiet street meant a good nights sleep apart from the clock radio going off at 00.00!

A nice cosy spot to rest after a long drive along great ocean road. This resort is really a gem, comes with full kitchen facilties, a great cosy place to sit by a fire place. A short walk takes you to the Apollo bay beach. Absolutely a tranquil place to rest. Oh yes, the heated beds helps a lot too. I though it was one of the best places I ever stayed in. One note, avoid the welcome BBQ offer, you are better buying stuff off the Apollo bay town area and cook up your own BBQ. Otherwise honestly perfecto!

We've just come back from a 9 night stay at the Rayville Boat Houses, staying in Boatouse 1 - Allen. The house was very clean and was exactly as described, all of the basics were provided, and although no washing facility was in the house there was a laundry room on site. They are in a great location for all of the tourist areas, ther is even a shell museum opposite. Having stayed in Apollo Bay on a previous visit we were familiar with the local area. The boathouses are and ideal base for a short or long visit and have great facilities. Highly recommended, thanks for a great break - we hope to be back soon.

Unfortunately, we spent only two nights at this place. The cottages are a bit on the expensive side, but very pretty and clean, with lots and lots of space. They offer a complete kitchen simply everything you might need. The owner is very friendly and helpful. This property is certainly the ideal place on the Great Ocean Road. It is in a quiet location, but only a short walk from the center of Apollo Bay, restaurants, shops and - of course - the beach. It is also a good base for exploring the hinterland, hiking in Otway Nat. Park or just relaxing on the terrace of your cottage. (There is a lot of information on the area, places worth visiting, restaurants etc. in a folder provided by the owner.)

The location in Apollo Bay is great; 3 minute walk to the beach and port, 5 minutes to the cafes/shops. It's a good base for the Great Ocean Rd, it's about 2.5 hours from Melbourne and 1.5 hour drive to the 12 Apostles.

The cottages are very pretty and contain a full kitchen with crockery, pots and pans, and the bathroom contains a large spa.

What left a sour aftertaste was that you have to take out your own garbage. Okay, maybe, if it's an extended stay but for a one or two night stay I think it's a bit much.
