Love this town. Motel is situated just outside the main city centre, easy to get to with great views. Rooms are basic, but are clean and for the price - what are you expecting. The restaurant delivers fantastic meals and the hosts are very friendly. We enjoyed our two day stay and would defintely stay there again.

Quite a nice view west to the mountains, if you book a room in the high numbers. Strangely deserted even though during peak January holiday season. The rooms are, as reported, adequate and have a few modern features - for instance all the doors to the rooms are ones you can buy off the shelf at Bunnings in 2012! Also internet is available, via a pass system - I think we paid $2 for a an hour or so of wireless, but there is also a free terminal at reception. A good stock of dvds and players in the rooms. We were screwed on the price - had we booked directly with the Motel itself online, it would have been $15 cheaper than Wotif and would have included a free breakfast. (this complaint is therefore with the secondary online bookers not with the motel). We went to one of the great eateries in town - Deloraine comes alive during the week and has some interesting art and shops.

Room Tip: choose the high numbers - they are west facing with views.

we stayed at this motel which we found to be very nice, clean and the manager was friendly and helpful. This motel has a lovely restaurant where we really enjoyed a very reasonably priced dinner, the service was great and it was also very "kid friendly" too. We would recommend this motel and would stay there again.

Everything is based on expectation. This is straight out of the 60's motel handbook. Old with old furnishings, old fashions, hole in the wall breakfast servery. If you are expecting the Hilton stay away. This is a friendly family run business and if you expect the 5 star service and all the airs and graces stay at home.
The place is clean enough, comfortable enough and tidy.
It is a fair walk in to town and its all uphill on the way back.
The managers are friendly.
We ate in the restaurant and the food was pretty good but a little slow as they had a lot of people in.

Deloraine was a one night stop over for us, prior to boarding the ship back to Melbourne. We arrived after 7 nights camping, exhaused and they offered us an early checkin of 12pm, the room was really clean, showers were great, but the staff were exceptional. I mentioned to the office manager that we had a wet tent in the car and he suggested we put it up in the back paddock to dry out for the day. They offered a compliementary car wash, and were really helpful. Would definalty recommend.

Room Tip: Try and get a room away from the road as it was very busy and can be quite noisy.

Pleasantly surprised with our room...booked the budget room and was more than happy with what we got! We appreciated the cleanliness and presentation of the room. Ensuite was very clean and well presented with plenty of towels and accessories. We noted that we even had a toaster as well as a tea towel to wipe our coffee cups, something that our 4 1/2 star complex the night before did not provide! Well done Mountain View....lovely peaceful spot (and we noted the lovely stained glass panels in our door). Great Value!

This hotel has 20-odd single-level motel-style rooms. I booked a budget single as I was only looking for a place to crash after watching some cricket. I was upgraded to a queen at check-in which was nice.
The room had a queen bed and a single. The ensuite was spacious and the water in the shower was hot with plenty of pressure.
Brian at check-in was very helpful and was ably assisted by Fifi in his other duties at the bar and in the Settlers restaurant which has a nice 1880's theme running throughout.
The food was well presented and, although not busy, I was unable to be seated until 1930 which was too late so I ate in town (Bush Inn).
Check out was quick and easy and Brian was, once again, his smiling self.
Three-and-a-half stars is accurate and the room clean and tidy. When next up that way, I will definitely stay here again.
