Brilliant, loved the 8month wombat, the friendly staff and being able to feed all the kangaroos, wallabies and see the tassie devil up close!

“A great zoo!”
Reviewed May 16, 2013

I really enjoyed this zoo and it's only a short drive from Bicheno. The keepers really know what they are talking about and clearly love the animals. Patting both devils and wombats was a highlight and the walk through bird and wallaby enclosures were great. I imagine little kids would love it. Definitely worth being there for the devil feeding. All in a great, natural environment.

“A must visit while staying in Bicheno”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

This is a wonderful place to spend the day with the family. We took our 2.5 year old and our 10 month old. They both loved it.

I would highly recommend for the nature enthusiast.

“A Must-Do”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

Quite a number of Tassie Devils, you get to pat one during feeding time and they have a breeding program which is fantastic. The enclosures are all open and natural, not all done up for show and you get to see a fair variety of animals too. There is an informative interactive centre for children as well as a playground and coal mining display. Only $22 each for adults which is relatively cheap compared to some zoos. Really glad we spent a few hours here, would definitely go back again and recommend it. Keep a look out for an upcoming episode of Toasted TV too (channel 11), we were there when they were filming and got to speak with one of the crew.
