This tour is amazing, it was recommended by friends and we were not disappointed. Everything was well organised from pick up to drop off. It is a very early start, so think about that first day and don’t do what we did and arrive in Adelaide at midnight for a 6.15 pick up! Also we didn’t know about the plane trip and we used the ferry both ways, it was fine but the coach journey takes 2 hours.
Our guide was Gaylene, she is so knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of Kangaroo Island that it was like being inside a nature programme, we were on safari, with our eyes and cameras and it was wonderful to see animals, going about their daily lives, up as close as would not disturb them. We were also treated to a lovely lunch each day and our hotel was good. We learnt about the history as well as the current day logistics of living on kangaroo island, which is a truly remarkable place and should be on everyone’s list. I now agree with my friends, take the 2 day tour if at all possible, as we had the time to track down the animals and both types of seals etc.

Nikki has made our tour awesome, with sharing her knowledge of the wildlife, plants and history. In 3 days we saw many kangaroos, koalas, echidnas, wallabies and many others animals. Nikki is a very kind person, she takes care about you and give you advises. Don't go to kangaroo island only for 1 day, take your time and stay 2-3 days to enjoy this beautiful island.

Wow, what can I say? This was the highlight of our trip to Australia. Our tour guide was awesome. She made our experience with the wildlife unbelievable. Nikki Redman is a walking encyclopedia. Her knowledge of every animal, bird and vegetation was beyond remarkable. In no time Nikki made us feel like we were part of her family. Her love for Australia and every living thing was aparent immediately. Thank you Nikki and Kangaroo Island Odysseys for our making our tour of Kangaroo Island wonderful.

We can not recommend this tour enough, largely thanks to the most professional, knowing and loving tour guide Nikki Redman.
She is totally passionate for the nature and the wildlife of this wonderful island and easily conveys this to the members of the tour. She was extremely knowledgeable of the animal life and fauna as well as telling fun stories relating to these subjects and more. We had a 2 day tour and despite not perfect weather conditions we never had a dull second. The setup of showing fantastic animal life and nature grandure at Flinders is a winner.
We also had a small adventure after Nikki found a small kangaroo Joey caught in a fence. It was obviously badly hurt in one of it’s hind legs.
She resolutely stopped the car and ordered one of the tour members (Mickael from France) to accompany her to try to rescue this poor young one. They managed to untangle the roo and we promptly took it to a nearby wildlife park where we left the Joey (now named Mickaela) in the caring hands of it’s personnel.
Sadly Mickaela did not make it, Nikki reported to us some days later.
This sad incident just goes to show the dedication and love of Nikki.
We made some great friends here and it will be remembered for all of our lives.
Many thanks to KI Odesseys and Nikki.

If you are traveling in October, it was cold near the sea. So bring a coat. The animals were lively and the tour guides were passionate about Kangaroo island. It's always incredible to watch animals in nature. They are fascinating.

Had a fantastic day with Nikki of KI Odysseys. Saw lots of koalas, kangaroos, goannas and birds. Didn't realise KI had brown koalas instead of grey ones.

Mark truly took great care of our group. His almost endless knowledge of the areas history, tales, folklore and wildlife filled our day. He knew just where to take us to spot a plethora of koalas, kangaroos, sea lions and spectacular vistas.it did not disappoint.
Our picnic lunch was first rate.
We highly recommend Kangaroo Odyssey’s and Mark is an excellent guide!

Nikki shared her extensive knowledge of KI’s wildlife, plants and history making our tour awesome! Since she has lived on the island for many years, she knew where to take us to see not only kangaroos and koalas but the elusive echidnas and wallabys. We counted 10 echidnas seen on our two day visit to the island! The tours are small which makes it easier to get up closer to the animals. The lunches were made from many locally sourced ingredients and were amazing! When the rain and wind became rather cold, coats were brought out for those who wanted them. I would highly recommend this tour company if you are looking for a small group experience!

There are no words to describe this so wonderful place, for me it was like a paradise! I had a two-days organized tour in the various parts of the island, and our guide Nikki was the best that we could wish! Everything during the day was so well organized, so well explained, and the lunch was superb!
Pity I hadn't my professional camera with me because it could have been really useful. There's no better place than KI to see animals in their natural habitat.
Can't wait to visit this place again in a future. It's highly reccomended to stay at least two days to enjoy it as much as possible, and have the chance to visit all the best places that this island can offer.
