My husband and I recently stayed at Seaview for 7 nights for a relaxing holiday. We picked seaview based on the reviews on trip advisor. We were slightly disappointed but its not entirely the hotels fault. We stayed in unit 31 on the 7th floor. We had a 1 bedroom apartment. Great big lounge room and fully equip kitchen (excellent if you want to eat in and save some money on dining out all the time) it was actually too big for just the two of us but it was normally a 2 bedroom apartment they just locked off the other bedroom. However this meant our bathroom was a quiet small ensuite. The unit was clean but is starting to show its age and the bathroom especially could do with a makeover, also the curtains either need cleaning or replacing (Mouldy) - i did leave a comment about this on the form they give you. The view from the lounge room is amazing, but if possible try and get a centre facing unit, our unit faced the apartments to the south. We did ask to move to another unit but they were at full occupancy. The bed room had a view of the glass house mountains but also of the coles carpark. The Garbage trucks woke us at 5am emptying bin by bin at a time (over 20 plus bins outside) - i know because my husband got up to see how much longer the noise would go on for. I read other reviews and saw that the traffic noise was a concern for others. I didnt think this would bother me but after a while you couldnt sit out on the balcony and relax. After sitting in traffic every day of my life the last thing I wanted to hear was the traffic. The pool wasnt a resort pool it was just somewhere to cool off if you wanted to, but the beautiful beach is right across the road so not really needed although at some points it would have been nice just to laze by the pool and read a book, i tried believe me but the sound from the traffic made it a bit hard to escape. In saying this the hotel can not help the traffic noise which is unfortunate because they really do generally have a good hotel. The grounds, pool area, bbqs are spotless. The hotel was in a good location in regards to closeness to the shops eating out etc it only took 2 mins to walk to everything. I guess my main disapppointment was the noise and the age of the unit everything else was fine, great for families but for couples maybe not so. I am also used to camping on/near beaches where its nice and quiet and you can escape from the cars etc. So the noise may not worry them it was just not for me - thats not the hotels fault just personal preference. We still had great holiday and the weather was perfect for not actually being in the apartment at all and at the time of booking we received a dining voucher for $100 for Semos Morrocan restaurant. This was fantastic food was incredible, service was quick and efficient, was a nice way to end our holiday.

After doing some endless research on where to stay on the Sunshine Coast, we selected Seaview and wasn't disappointed. Firstly the location couldn't be better, just across the road from the sea and towards the end of the resort but within easy walking distance of all the restaurants. The bus stop heading to Noosa or Maroochydore is just outside and Coles is just around the corner. We had a top level 2 bedroom apartment which had fantastic panoramic views out to sea. The facilities in the apartment were good and certainly adequate for our needs and although we had people staying either side of us, we hardly heard any noise. I would certainly recommend staying at Seaview.

After researching the area thoroughly we decided on Seaview, and weren't disappointed. The view was magnificent, being on the Esplanade, and even though it wasn't right in the heart of the Mooloolaba shops, it was an easy short stroll down, which we did each day. Staff were friendly and helpful.

All the team at Seaview were excellent as they always are. This was my third stay at the Seaview and the service and hospitality is just as good as it always has been. This most recent trip certainly would not be my last.

Unit 23 on the 5th floor was spacious extremely clean had a refurbished kitchen and bathroom with fantastic views however the noise from cars on the Esplanade we found very disturbing and noise from the back street which the bedrooms had glass walls out onto a balcony also provided for very disturbed sleeping. The curtains also didn't shut out the light as they didn't cover the windows adequately. The bathroom linen was one small towel and one larger thinner towel there are no hand towels provided!!!.
The bed was appalling and after 4 nights of negotiating the valley along with the hill in the middle and broken springs that creaked every time we moved (and no I don't consider myself heavy at 63Kg) we reported it to the management as I was looking for a physio and a good night sleep. Staff found and removed a smirnoff bottle and coke bottle wedged between the base and the mattress and bought a topper for it. The removal of the bottles and topper did not improve the situation and we wondered if they'd been put there to prop up missing springs. We then moved into two small single beds that though probably circa 1990 were in a much better state than the queen bed. The heads of these beds were against the glass window wall of the bedroom and did not have thick enough or wide enough curtains to shut out the light. The bedside table and lamp was at the foot of one of the beds!! The managers were very polite and concerned and negotiated with the owners so that a new bed was to arrive after we left. The moral of the story even though the apartments are supposedly 4.5 stars question the quality of the bedding in the apartment which you will be allocated as this bed wouldn't have been used in a shearers quarters or pickers hut and take some ear plugs, along with eye masks if you are light sleepers.

We are very sorry that our guests did not have an enjoyable stay. They where very brave to put up with the lumpy bed for four nights. We wish they had reported it straightaway so we could have done more for them. You can image our shock when we discovered what was causing the lumps. Unfortunately the vodka bottle was found to be empty!
The following guests did not want us to remove the bed with it topper when the new bed arrived as they it so comfortable.
The Seaview Resort is graded by the AAA as a 4 Star property and has been since 2001.

This hotel is in a great location right on the beach and close to shops, resturants and bars. The views are spectacular and the rooms a very spacious. I would recommend the 3 bedroom apartments as they comfortably fit 5 to 6 people.
