Spent 7-Days R&R staying at the Nautilus, with primary objective being to find the sun and enjoy some golf after long, very wet winter. The Sunshine Coast was true to name and the Nautilus a perfect venue. Central to shopping and golf courses, well appointed self-contained unit- including the essential spa-bath for after-golf recovery ! Management extremely helpful with our arrangements and the bill meant this will be a regular, repeat experience. If this is your style of R&R The Nautilus represents excellent $4$ value.

If your style of R&R is to spend-up large and remain "room-bound " standing on Shag-pile carpets, looking at the waves washing up on a beach all day, it is likely there are more "luxurious" abodes in which to suck on your Moet. That's fine, and you can boast a bigger dent on your Credit Card.

If you want to spend your day enjoying the Sunshine Coast Sand, shops, the scenery beyond of your 4 walls, the numerous golf courses, and return to a comfortable, centrally-situated unit, then the Nautilus is ideally suited.

Although good cooking facilities are provided, why would you bother, when the Surf club, 3 mins walk away, provide a full Carver Roast for $13 - or a slightly more costly menu-selection !

A wonderful week that we will be repeating regularly, without consulting the Bank Manager..

Love Mooloolaba. Love Nautilus.
Small number of rooms not up to scratch, so ask to see a couple of them if possible. Rooms overlooking pool and spa are preferable.
New managers are making excellent improvements.
I come back every year.

Booked a 2 bed apartment. Very dissapointed, it was very small and cramped. Floor was dirty and couch and chairs covered in sand. Room was very shabby and badly in need of updating and a coat of paint.
Greeted by a dead cockroach and told that they had just had pest control but obvioulsy didnt work as we spent the evening killing large ones that were crawling out of every crevice. Staff were friendly on arrival and still fairly nice even when they opened reception the next morning to me demanding a refund and cancellation of the following two night stay with them.
One of those places that is absolutely nothing like the pictures and still felt ripped off even though we had only paid $200 per night in Jan school holidays and it was a great location.

The best thing about this property was the location. It's close enough to walk to the beach, restaurants and local shops.
However, the rooms were terrible. No way is this is four-star property! Our two-bedroom apartment was extremely tiny. The kitchenette was tiny and not well stocked, with just a poky bench to sit at (not big enough for all of us to sit at the same time). Tiny TV, which didn't get all the cable channels about half of the time. Microwave didn't work properly. The apartment was supposed to be air-conditioned, but there was just one air-conditioner for the entire unit - so we had to leave it on the whole time and leave the doors open to try to get some air into the poky bedrooms. Granted, we got a good rate so we didn't complain, but we would rather have paid more money and stayed somewhere nicer. The pool and spa were okay, but the pool was closed two of the four afternoons we were there. The pool was also extremely cold as it's located in the middle of the property and doesn't get much sun. There's a small mini-golf thing there, which was pretty crappy, but at least it was free and the kids liked it. (Pity about the used condom we found there on the first day - but it could have been tossed in from outside the property). There was only one bathroom and loo - and they were in the same room (not good for families!), and it was very dated. There was a mix of young families and groups of young adults/couples. We wouldn't stay there again - we got what we paid for! It was clean though.

For ths price paid, this is a very good property. We stayed in a room which was spacious and clean. The air-conditioning unit in the unit which was facing Underwater World probably needs to be looked at. The staff were very good. This property is highly recommended.
