My fiance and I stayed for three nights at the Landmark Resort and had an amazing time.

When my fiance made the booking over the phone he was impressed with how helpful and pleasant they were to deal with. We arrived much earlier than expected and asked if we could leave our bags, only to find that our room was ready and we could check-in early.

We stayed in a one bedroom penthouse and the views were breathtaking, by far the best we’ve ever seen! Most other places we’ve stayed in tend to hide the bedroom away and leave all the views to the living area, but the Landmark bedroom had floor-to-ceiling windows with ocean views as well. The apartment was spacious and well equipped. The resort itself is well located and beautifully decorated. There are a number of places to eat and shop just underneath the resort and the beach is just a stones throw away. We also liked the pool area with the bridge and waterfalls and enjoyed the rooftop bbq and spa area.

Our only complaint was that the housekeepers and maintenance staff seemed to be under strict orders not to speak to guests. Normally we smile and say hello to anyone we pass, but the Landmark staff seemed to try and make themselves invisible. It was a little weird.

Overall, we loved the Landmark and will definitely be staying there again.

The Landmark has one of the top locations in Mooloolbah being directly across the street from the surf club, beach and especially the playground which was a highlight for my 2 1/2 year old. It was easy to get a bite to eat and get takeaway to bring back up to our room.

I would highly recommend paying the extra for the Executive Level as we had the most amazing 180 degree view from our 2-bedroom unit - #9118..Surely one of the best views in the entire resort. We had a wraparound verandah excessible by 2 different sliding glass doors and waking up to the view of the ocean was terrific. We paid $280/night for a Friday and Saturday night stay.

I picked this resort for the pool which while not huge was plenty sufficient with several "waterfalls", a bridge to swim under, a kiddie pool, a hot tub and chairs to lounge around.
My only criticism would be the master bathroom was amazingly SMALL so if big bathrooms are your thing give this one a miss. For us it didn't really matter as there was the 2nd bathroom with shower so we could spread out a bit. The living was not the largest I have ever seen in a 2 bedroom unit however the balcony and view more than made up for this.

My wife and I stayed at the Landmark resort in November for two nights in a two bedroom executive apartment. It was nicely decorated with a flatscreen television. The balcony was huge, you could walk on it from one bedroom to another, right around to the kitchen! Each bedroom had a sliding door on to the balcony. A nice touch was the shower with a sea view. Worth staying at.

Just wish the kitchen was stocked a bit better with utensils. They could also refrain from putting up notices that read: take out trash, wash all knives and forks etc, clean up kitchen otherwise you will be charged a cleaning fee... Is that not why you are paying a hight rate? Just wondering.

The reception is not 24 hours, it closes around 6pm. Which thought was a bit strange. We arrived at 7pm and had to hunt for our keys which was help in a nearby safe.

All in all, not bad.

  • Liked — Great sea view
  • Disliked — Few staff around
  • Tips/Secrets — Arrive in the daytime to check in.

A great apartment complex. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit and lucked an amazing view. Although I think most rooms would have great views. We also stayed at "schoolies" time, wouldnt do that again. They werent too bad, but you could do without it. On the last night, I called security because the unit next to us woke the kids. There were about 15 kids on the balcony. Within 5 minutes there was no noise at all, so they really look after their customers - thumbs up! The unit was a little small, ie a 2 way bathroom where the 2 doors almost touched when opened. (nice spa though). The beds were quite firm (bit sore in the morning), but lovely decor. Aircon did whatever it liked, you couldnt adjust, but it was mostly nice anyway. Nice kitchen, no platters or large plates though - only absolute basics. Lovely modular lounge. Great tele, poor reception. Amazing balcony -HUGE! Pool a little smaller than I expected, but still beautiful and the kids loved it. 2 beautiful waterfalls, warm spa and kiddies paddle pool. All heated well. Lovely lobby, hopeless lifts with a mind of their own. Amazing location!! Right across the road from the beach, and restaurants and cafes everywhere. The beach is also beautiful, flags right across from unit. Staff good. Pretty good value for its location.

  • Liked — The pool and view.

My husband and I stayed at this resort from 10 to 15 October 2006.

We paid AUD$135 per night

The location was excellent, directly opposite a patrolled beach and surrounded by a mulititude of restaurants to chose for meals or a drink.
The rooms were very clean, tidy and quiet.

would stay there again, and would certainly recommend to others.

We were off for my birthday weekend away and decided on the Landmark Resort. Location was great, right above all the restaurants of Mooloolaba and opposite the beach. We booked the 2 bedroom executive room with ocean views. Upon entering the room we realised it was pokey, bland and awfully decorated. The main bedroom had a spa that was behind the door and crammed into a dark corner.. you couldnt even have 2 people in the bathroom at once it was that tiny. We decided it wasnt us and called reception 5minutes after entering the room. Upon telling them of our decision to leave they were extremly rude and objected to refund any money.. we tried to compromise with them and only after 15mins arguing with the desk clerk did I get any service from management who relunctantly refunded me 30% of my whole weekend rate. After the awful experience and the poor quality room I would have just left my money with them and gone anyway.. one of the worst holiday experiences I have had.. We ended up going down the road to another hotel and had a wonderful weekend at Mooloolaba.

We stayed at the Landmark Apartments for a week, while running a conference in the Hotel. Our apartment ( the penthouse) was huge with a large comfortable lounge room, separate kitchen with equipment supplied for serious cooking. Large bathroom with separate laundry with washing machine and dyer. Large sliding doors leading to roomy balcony with stairs leading to another enormous roof top deck with private spa with deck chairs and BBQ area. Fridge, TV, coffee and tea facilities, internet connection, air-conditioning.

As we were sponsoring the conference we got to check out other apartments. The studio apartments were fabulous with small kitchen and roomy bathroom and doors leading onto balcony most with ocean views. Suit couples.

PROS: Close to everything, downstairs restaurants and cafes galore. Across the road from surf club.(The main entertainment centre for town) five minutes walk to supermarket for supplies. Across the road from beach.

CONS: None.

REcommendation : Yes.....fabulous position.
