Very nice apartment.

We had a 2-bed apartment and had great views of the ocean. The week we were there it was the Mooloolaba Triathlon at the weekend which was great to watch from the balcony even although we did get woken very early on the Sunday morning.

Apartments were nice and big and clean, although the one we were in could perhaps benefit from some redecoration.

Overall though no real complaints

On the positive side, the staff were helpful and friendly.
However, while the accomodation was clean and tidy, I would certainly say that I do not see why it is the number 1 rated property in Mooloolaba.
I travel extensively and have stayed in properies from 1 - 5 star, and was quite disappointed in this 3 bedroom apartment.
The pictures on the internet are clearly 'indicative', and what you get depends on which room you happen to be given.
In comparison to other resorts of the same money, in other areas, eg, Sea Star Apartments in Airlie Beach, this was not even in the same league. The living area was quite small, and the balcony, on the corner, again very small for a 3 bedroom apartment.
I had high expectations from reading the reviews, and previously have always trusted trip adviser in choosing my accomodation. This is the first time I have felt quite disappointed.

While I would recommend this hotel, it would be on the proviso of not to expect anything too flashy!

We are sorry that you were disappointed with your three bedroom accommodation at Osprey.
The apartment you stayed in is the only one we have of that type, which is positioned on the corner of the resort. We agree that in comparison to all our two bedroom apartments that the lounge and balcony are smaller and we have priced this accordingly.
We have one other three bedroom apartment at the front of the resort which is more spacious and higher up but obviously at a higher tariff. We are pleased that you found the apartment clean and tidy as we place a high priority on those aspects. We have had favourable reviews on this apartment but can understand your disappointment on the size of the living area and balcony.

Kind regards

Sue

Our extended family of 7 (3 couples plus one 3-year-old boy) stayed at Osprey for one week in June. The room was on the fourth floor, with ocean view. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 1 enormous living/dining area. It was a very enjoyable stay. Off peak rates were very reasonable, and it was certainly not too busy so we never had to wait long for the lift for example. Carpark was good - underground, secure, no narrow corners. Beds were comfortable, shower power was good, the whole place was set up to make you feel comfortable. The kitchen was great - we cooked about 4 meals there. The only complaint was that they don't have any pans! (just pots).

Mooloolaba was a fairly good base for sunshine coast. I think the only other spot that might be better is Caloundra (given we fly in and out of Brisbane airport), as Noosa, though very nice, is a bit further up North (half an hour drive from Mooloolaba). Beware also that the beach straight across from the apartments is not that great - to go to the Mooloolaba family beach, you need to walk back towards the shops, about 5-10 minutes.

Ive stayed here twice and really enjoyed it. The apartments are very spacious, clean and well appointed. The pool, spa and grounds are well maintained. Only a couple of blocks from the shops/cafes etc. The only downfall was the garbage shute next to our door that really started to stink, other than that, can highly recommend. For a better view, stay higher than ground level.

Just spent 10 days on the Sunshine Coast at the Osprey. Because of the Iceland volcano our flight was delayed for 10 days and we were done with the Gold Coast, but wanted to stay close to Brisbane. On a recommendation, we drove North to the Sunshine Coast and Mooloolaba. Using free WIFI at the McDonalds, I checked TripAdvisor for hotels and found that the Osprey was rated number 1. We then went to the local tourism office and they told us that the rates at Osprey were about the best in town too. We were not disappointed and got a huge two bedroom apartment with a GIANT flatscreen TV. The carpets and decor was all relatively new and the leather sofa and chairs were a nice touch. Trash chutes are right out the front door and the pool and jacuzzi were in great shape and made for a nice place to relax. We made use of the BBQ facilities for two nights and everything was clean and worked properly. I booked tickets to the Australian Zoo for a discount and the reception was very helpful. I needed to print out some homework for my daughter since we were now missing school, and they had me a copy in about 5 minutes from asking for it. There is a Cole's Grocery store within walking distance for those on a budget and plenty of restaurants just down the arcade about 5 minutes away. My only slight complaint is that the hotel is not directly on a swim beach. You have about a 10 minute walk to get to the patrolled beach. However, this is a very minimal negative and the only reason they did not receive 5 stars on each category. I would definitely stay here anytime I am back in Mooloolaba.

Osprey is our favourite apartment, not only do you get great views, but the rooms are huge and the bedrooms are situated at the back so you get a wonderful quiet sleep. The pool is lovely and placed perfectly in a sunny spot (so many others are out the back in the shade and very small), parking is great, and the complex is located in short walking distance to Mooloolaba shops and beach. We recommend this complex 100%.

Booked a 3 bedroom apartment and got upgraded to a rooftop apt with spa. It was a huge apartment with 2 living areas which was great for the kids (8 and 11 years old).
The Osprey is not far from the esplanade and shopping which is good if you don't want to hire a car. It's a bit of a walk to get to the Mooloolaba patrolled beach which may not suit families with very young children. We didn't mind.
The apartment we had (55) is starting to look a bit tired but is still great value for money and we would definately stay there again.
