Got a great deal through the entertainment book for this room, and paid a little extra for guaranteed ocean view - absolutley LOVED the appartment, spent alot of time sitting out on the balcony gazing out to sea.

The girls at the front desk were great, very helpful. The location is excellent. Close to everything. The room was average but better than some of the reviews on trip advisor. The only disappointment was that we weren't given pillows for the pullout when we asked for some and were advised that we had to use the pillows on the main bed.

Athough our room was recently refurbished and we had a great ocean view, the noise through the walls and from the corridor outside the bedroom was bad. When the person next doors alarm we off it was like it came from my own bedside table and I even reached over as I thought it was my own mobile phone about to ring. Beside doors banging there was also unexplained noices in the ceiling coming from the floor above. Another downside was the fact that our bed was only a double bed and the fridge was only a bar fridge. If you want value for money and great location, I would recommend the Mantra Mooloolaba refurbished rooms, but maybe be selective on its location. Another thing they dont mention when booking is that there is a $100 bond required which they release until 5 days after checkout.

I've stayed her so many times in the past but there was something different about this time. I may even stay there again, but, probably not. When we go there we generally book with Accomodation Queensland for a cheaper rate. Unfortunately everything becomes cheaper, the room, the service, everything. We got a side room this time and while I was pretty sure this was going to happen the views have become alot worse as the construction around Mooloolaba has increased.
If you stay here in one bedroom unit then don't take rooms that end in a 1,2,3,10 or 12. Especially don't accept these rooms if it's a 2 bedroom and you have paid close to top rate. They are reserved for the lastminute, wotifs etc accom where you are getting a discount. As it was mentioned to us rather tersley that if you want a front seaview room it costs twice as much. Hey, I can understand that, as I said I expected it, but I didn't want to be told it. Zanzibar is a better option as all rooms are beachfront. So, with that done we moved in. for a 5 night stay. You know what would be nice, not having mould in the shower. A quick squirt of a chlorine based bleach usually does the trick. The laminate splash backs were fat splattered and when I went to use the cold water in the fridge there was about 2cm worth of water in the bottom of it. That's ok I'll get the ice tray out. Hmm, you know the colour ice gets when it's been sitting in the tray for a month too long and why is there a hair on the tray. Am I being picky or is sometimes the little attention to detail that makes your stay all the more worthwhile. The bed was hard but that can be good for some, we recently bought a new one that can only be described as heaven so maybe it is just me. There is a old TV in the bedroom that didn't have a remote for it and when i was flicking through the channels my wife and I were delighted to find that it picked up the porn pay per view for free as well as one of the other movies. Good thing I found this after I had put my 4 y/o grandson in there for a nap while he watched cartoons. Another couple of things, one and a half roles of toilet paper will not last my wife 6 days, There is no linen change, not even towels, you need to catch the house keepers on their rounds or contact reception. The floors will get dirty and sandy after a week but will not be cleaned. Last but by no means least are the lifts. It has been a rare occasion that I have stayed here that all 4 lifts are operating and it was no different this time. We were down to 1 lift on our side for 4 days which is a pain when you have to wait for it to service 18 levels. So all up I love Mooloolaba but my love affair with the Mantra has waned.

We stayed in a 1 Bedroom Ocean View apartment for 2 nights and thought it was great value for money. Excellent location and a fantastic view. The apartment had recently been refurbished and couldn't be faulted. Would definately stay there again.

Loved the location of the Mantra. With all the restaurants and great shops on its doorstep. Room was pleasant but don't be fooled into thinking that you will be able to cook up a storm in the self contained kitchen of the apartment unless you are very creative. Cooking utensils were lacking but with the huge selection of restaurants on your doorstep who wants to cook anyway!!! Tried a different restaurant every night and our favourite was EV's on the pool level of the resort complex. The resort was a little noisey on Friday Night with the taxi rank opposite the hotel taking a hammering from the spill out of late night drinkers. The reception staff at the resort were very friendly and extremely helpful. They went to great lengths to find us a hire car (I recommend you book ahead). The hotel offers free secure parking, however during our stay a car was stolen and two broken in to, so don't leave valuables in your car... be warned! When all said and done if heading to the Sunshine coast I would stay at the Mantra again but I won't be cooking!!!!

Dear TinaBendigo,

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience with us. We are very happy we were able to assist in providing you with a memorable holiday and understand some of the concerns you faced with cooking within apartment, the kitchenette's in the one bedroom apartments are limited with cooking facilities, though two and three bedroom apartments are better equipped and have full kitchen appliances and utensils. I am pleased that you enjoyed the local restaurants and found our team to be very helpful, thank you again for staying with us and I look forward to welcoming you back again soon.
