The Wharf was very close to our accommodation, which made it an ideal location for dinning. There was a wide selection of food and beverage outlets, and some boutique stores. The restaurants we ate at were very good this is a clean friendly place.

The wharf area comprises restaurants, bars, ice creameries, tour companies, a hotel, an aquarium, hire boats, jet ski hire, dinghy hire, in fact just about anything associated with water. Parking can be a bit of an issue, but drive 100 metres further down the road, into Penny Lane, and there is a fair bit of underused parking.

The Wharf has been upgraded and there are some terrific restaurants within the Wharf area and sometimes it takes quite a few minutes to find your restaurant. I guess you expect to find more seafood type places and water activities and shopping variety but unfortunately that currently is not the case. You could certainly combine a visit to Sea World with a lunch but regrettably the shopping does not seem to exist except for a better than average confectionery outlet. There is ample parking and a visitor to Mooloolaba should probably put this on their agenda but do not plan on more than an hour or so unless combining the trip with a meal.

When I phoned a cruise place to enquire, I was directed to a website. No access to internet! When we straight away drove down and went for a walk, the office I had rung was open and young lady was making coffees. If not running cruises message could have said so.
