A place to stay in Goondiwindi, as we were too tired to go on to Brisbane.
This seemed to have good reviews. We did not eat at the restaurant, but ate at the Chinese place across the street, which was typical country Chinese fare.

The rooms are clean and large, and not much to complain about. There was free wi fi and easy access to the street. It is like most of the accommodation - off the highway- so noise was not an issue. About $130 for a room on a Monday night, which was cheaper than some out here.

Front desk staff were very professional and friendly.

Would stay here again if passing through Goondiwindi.

Room Tip: We were in 26 and 27, - car parks are a bit tight on all of them, but brick internal walls, it was q...

We stayed in many motels on our drive from Melbourne to Cairns and return, and found the Townhouse Motel to be the best by far. On arriving at midday, we were able to settle in straight away and were impressed by the friendly service. Absolutely loved the Deluxe Queen Room we had booked and found it compared favourably with many city hotels we had stayed in. The cathederal ceilings gave it a feeling of space, and all fittings were top class. It's close proximity to shops and tourist attractions meant we could walk and not have to drive. In the evening, we chose a couple of meals from the 'specials' room service menu and were so impressed with the standard of both of them that we rang and congratulated the chef. We hope we can return to Goondiwindi and the Townhouse Motel again some day.

Thank you for taking the time to rate our hotel. We are so thrilled you enjoyed our facilities and the Queen Deluxe room. Our chef was particularly impressed when you phoned him after your meal and commented how much you enjoyed it. We hope to see you again at The Town House.

We were making a long road trip from Melbourne to the Sunshine Coast for a mid winter break and at the end of day 2 we arrived in Gooondiwindi and selected the Town House after a short drive up and down the main street. We were a little wary of what our selection would be as the previous night we had chosen a motel in a small country town in NSW and had been disapoointed with the standard of the facilities.

At the Town House in Goondiwindi we were welcomed by the host and were provided a very nice room that had been meticulously cleaned. The sheets were clean and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and the shower worked well.

Overall we found the motel to be excellent value for money in a lovely little town that is the home of the famous racehorse Gunsynd.

We are happy to recommend to others.

We stayed at the Town House for just the one night at the end of a three week trip down to Victoria and back. We were pleasantly surprised to find a very comfortable room which was obviously built many years ago but has been tastefully brought up-to-date. We appreciated that our room was allocated a car space under cover. The bed was comfortable with quality linen. The location was perfect; right in town but surprisingly quiet. We're looking forward to returning one day to more thoroughly explore Goondiwindi.

We were very pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Town House. We travel often on the Newell H'way and will happily stay there again. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was spacious and clean and loved the high ceiling in the bathroom. The motel is in the main street, so easy to find and convenient. The quality of the meals in the restaurant was excellent although it took an hour for our meals to arrive and the restaurant was not busy. The pool looked lovely but we didn't bring our swimmers.

Room Tip: Room 31 was good

We do the trip Brisbane to Victoria quite often so decided to give this motel another go as the only isse was the A/C. This has now been fixed so all is good. A really nice reasonably priced motel in the heart of Goondawindi, so no traffic noise. Great pool just what you need on a hot day. It was 40 when we arrived so we put the A/C on and went for a swim, by the time we got back to the room it was cool.
There are 4 undercover parking bays the rest are outside rooms, so if you would like to park undercover might be worth asking if you can have a room that gives under cover parking if that is important to you

Thank you for another great review of our hotel. We like to act on our travellers reviews hence the AC was fixed shortly after your last visit. You will also be pleased to know we are in the process of organising more carports to be built to accommodate the majority of our guests. We look forward to your return visit.

My wife and I have stayed there for three years in a row now for the hell of west triathlon, first I love the fact that they automatically reserve a room for us for the following years race without ever having to ask.
And to the most important thing- the new chef! Although there were zero complaints about the kitchen and I thoroughly enjoyed my dinners there in 2012, the upgrade in chef for 2013 is awesome! Very tasty, not a country town menu, much more varied & delicious, the chef clearly takes a lot of pride in what he does & congrats to dave & Lisa for finding a talent and landing him in Goondiwindi.
We will be back for sure, not just for the hotel but for the restaurant (didn't think I'd ever say that about Goondiwindi...)
Thank you
James
