Dishes like Wagyu Beef Tataki, flame roasted chilli, finger lime, shiitake dust and Manhattan Seafood Chowder, sourdough, matchstick vegetables, prawn oil are just two of the highlights. The signature dish - 100 day Grain fed 800gm Rump for two with chermoula basted Mooloolaba king prawns, roasted potatoes, jus - is must try for steak lovers. Service very good. Food excellent. Wine slightly expensive. Menu difficult to read (very small typeface). Pleasantly surprised at the overall quality of the evening.

Excellent breakfast options! There was options of hot cooked breakfast that was perfect, and a wide variety of cold breakfast options. Coffee and teas were available as well as a pancake machine!

After dining here twice before with the al la carte menu, we decided to try the Friday night seafood buffet, and as far as the food went, we were not disappointed. You must book, which is fair enough, so the restaurant knows how many to cater for. There were both oysters natural and Killpatrick, both deliciously fresh. Whole prawns, bugs, crabs which had been split and cleaned, smoked salmon, salt and pepper squid, chilli mussels, all very very nice. Also, battered fish, a chicken curry, spaghetti bolognaise, delightful salads, and the best desserts ever!! A shame the waitresses couldn't clear the dirty plates away more promptly, and the advertised "live entertainment" was no where to be seen. All in all a great night, except for the waitress who, at the end of a superb evening spoilt it by saying " are yous done".
It has been said many times before, and I concur, it is hard to get good staff.

The Cienna restaurant and bar is part of the Pelican Waters Golf Resort hotel, it is some distance away from Caloundra and sited in a large residential development. The restaurant accommodates diners inside and outside on the deck weather permitting. The deck over looks a lake and bush setting. The lunch menu is reasonable made up of modern Australian dishes, with all plates priced at $15.
If you are not staying in the hotel you will need a car to get there as there is no other transport connection. Cabs are reluctant to travel there to the hotel for pick up.

We went to Cienna on a weekend getaway staying at Pelican Waters Resort.
Just a step outside the room, down the lift and you're at the restaurant! We were greeted by Prue and introduced to Annie who showed us to our table and waited on us the entire night.
It was lovely to have the same waitress taking care of us - it instantly individualises the experience. Annie was fabulous in her service, providing recommendations to particular dishes and didn't let us down once.
In terms of the food, it was quite nice. We were provided with complimentary seafood salads (my partner enjoyed both as I don't eat seafood). We loved the warm bread provided with perfectly room-temp butter. We skipped the entrées and went straight to mains - I ordered a 300g angus rump medium-well and my partner a 400g angus entrecôte medium. They arrived after a few glasses of sparkling, beautifully presented on thick-cut chips, grilled tomatoes and a field mushroom, garnished with onion rings (amazing!!!) and a choice of sauce on the side.
The medium-well steak was more well-done, and the medium was more medium-well. We'll know for next time to order accordingly. The 300g was quite chewy and half of it was therefore left behind, but the 400g was beautifully tender. The meals and drinks were quite pricey but expected from a high-end fine-dining restaurant.
We finished our meals with a vintage cheddar cheese plate, dessert wine and fine single-malt scotch. These were absolutely beautiful.
Apart from a few minor issues with the steaks, the experience was one to remember and we will definitely be back, knowing exactly what to order!
