Stayed at Rumba Beach Resort where the restaurant advertises promotions in its lifts. The restaurant is based at street level next to the resort. On Tuesdays they advertise a 1/2 price pizza and movie deal for families. When you get there, sit down and start to order they tell you it is for a takeaway pizza only. Most people get up and leave or proceed to order a takeaway which is probably what we should have done. However we stayed and endured very slow service, poor quality food and an expensive bill.

Needless to state the advertising has no mention of a takeaway only deal, it looks like the manager decides whether they can be bothered to honour the deal or not depending on how they feel on the night.

Best avoid this restaurant and go to the Hogs Breath Café further down the road where at least you will get value for money and far superior service.

We stumbled across this cafe/restaurant when The Coffee Club wasn't open one public holiday. We haven't looked back. We are regulars here and often enjoyed Sunday breakfasts as both my husband and I work in Brisbane. We've eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner here and even have done breakfast and dinner on the same day. Dinner is more formal and on the higher end of the budget but well worth it. La Dolce Vita is such a beautiful place that we even decided to have our mid week wedding reception there. The view is awesome, but make sure that you get in estly on weekends ad it often gets busy and you will have to sit inside and miss out on most of the view. We are so sad to leave the coast but will always come back to La Dolce Vita when we can.

We are locals and have tried other restaurants on the coast but keep being drawn back to la dolce vita. Very welcoming friendly staff, accommodating to fussy eaters like my partner. Coffee is beautiful and food consistently amazing (including desserts). If on the very rare occasion something hasn't been quite right (like at ALL restaurants) the staff are only too willing to fix it promptly. Have never had a bad experience here in over 3 yrs and everyone we've recommended it too have raved about the food and service too. To all the negative comments previously, it's a shame you didn't give them another chance, we're all human and make mistakes, now you miss out the fantastic food experience that all the locals know is one of the best in town by far... And we can make a booking because your not taking up space unnecessarily. Thank you.

Looked good, nice view of the sea but didn't need the TV screen that was right in my face, no sound but flashing pictures.
Waitress didn't know what the dips were, didn't know what the trio of brushetta was..... one had some green paste and she didn't know the other one, one was tomato. Ordered the squid, other 2 ordered barramundi. It was ok, nothing great and doubtful that it was barramundi. Service was very slow. Bill didn't come when asked for so husband went to pay and had to point out that half the items on the bill were not ours.......
Very overpriced, glad we hadn't ordered one of the more expensive dishes, wish I'd read trip advisor bedore we went.

Our waiter was very charming and full of character. I had the seafood pasta special with mussells, moreton bay bugs, prawn calamari etc and it was delicious as was the garlic bread. Great spot opposite the beach.
