“Probly the best on the strip.”
Reviewed February 3, 2012

Just like all the other places on this strip it is over priced and portion size average!
However service & food makes it the best on this little strip with ocean views and an owner who sings and loves a chat!

“Fabulous for families”
Reviewed January 23, 2012

We went to La Dolce Vita twice during our recent trip to Caloundra, once for dinner and once for gelato and coffee. The restaurant is located right on Bulcock Beach. It was raining, so we sat inside, but still had a terrific view of the ocean. Dinner was lovely with very personal service. The children's meals were lovely, offering, as well as the usuals, a mix and match choice of three types of pasta and three sauces. My five year old daughter thought that this was very exotic. A couple of days later we went to La Dolce Vita for coffee and desert and we were welcomed warmly again. Highly recommended.

“Noisy and below par with its peers.”
Reviewed December 12, 2011

Attended for a work Xmas function on a Monday night. Not one appetizer each from 3 plates for our table of twelve and then plates of either sloppy creamy or tomato based pasta dishes. The seafood linguine dish with chilli did stand out but the chorizo that followed was vile, the chorizo tasting more like tinned sausage.

I don't know what we paid per head but perhaps thankfully no dessert and the coffees we ordered never arrived. By 9pm we had truly enough.

As previous diners have cited the place is noisy making normal table conversation levels impossible and the air conditioning strained to handle a full house.

“Great food, But the service lets this place down.”
Reviewed September 29, 2011

I ate at La Dolce Vita twice, and had the same issue both times. SERVICE. The first was ok, waited a bit of time to get orders through, and get someone attention to ask for the correct cutlery to eat pasta.

The second time was like and episode of Faulty Towers. The owner singing throughout the restaurant, the 2 girls stretched looking after the tables whilst the two owners appeared more interested in a table of 10 located close to us. After finishing our meals one of the girls came over and took away 2 of our 5 plates, and then did not return, both of the owners passed our table, in total we counted 24times looked down at the table and did not remove these from the table. After waiting 20 minutes for someone to take the rest of the plates we asked the male owner who then shouted across the restaurant to the girls who were helping people outside.

Though the food was great I can only give this place a 1star based on the overall feel of the place. I would recommend to not bothering, as there are plenty of restaurants around close to this one.

“Great spot, delicious pizzas and good service”
Reviewed August 17, 2011

We arrived around 7:30pm on Friday night with no booking and there was two small tables outside which looked better than inside. The friendly owner moved the tables to suit us and seated us quickly. The pizzas that turned out to be way better than we were expecting. Thin crust authentic pizzas are a must in our books so it hit the spot perfectly. Our very discerning teenagers gave it the 'thumbs up' and we certainly enjoyed the meal. Almost everything was OK until we left and while we paid the bill, the owner continued to talk to other diners and ignore me while I paid the bill at the cash register - not good form. Overall, a very good experience.
