I booked one night for my daughters dance eisteddfod, there were 2 mums and two daughters, the manager Joanne rang me to let me know we could check in early which I thought was nice. When we arrived Joanne at the reception was very friendly and helpful and Jim carried our bags up to our room, the unit was 2 bedrooms and very clean and tidy, the balcony had water views and also a roof top balcony. It was right on the water and next to a boat ramp. It was really comfortable and had plenty of room for all of us. After the dance eisteddfod we decided to stay an extra night and it was not a problem at all, even though we didn't have a booking, Joanne made us feel very welcome and every thing was easy. Upon checking out Joanne informed us that the unit was getting new curtains and let us have the old curtains for free which were not that old. I would highly recommend staying here.

Room Tip: Any room would be fine.

This was the first time I’d stayed in Caloundra and I will be going back. This holiday complex is located right on the North West bend of Pumicestone Passage. From there on a Sunday morning you can take a walk up Bulcock Street and enjoy the street markets which are very good.
The complex is showing signs of age but the onsite managers are the best I’ve ever experienced. They are fabulous people who love people and what they do.

Room Tip: If you want the best views over Pumicestone Passage ask what’s available on the south end of the com...

We are currently staying in Room 15 that has 2 levels- unit and penthouse balcony. View from unit or penthouse balcony overlooking Pumistone Passage and tip of Bribie Island is amazing! Units are located next to small boat ramp, small sandy beach and Coast Guard headquarters so you can have fun watching the boaties and jet skis coming and going. There is a private jetty for fishing from as well as water facing BBQ and seating area- families were taking full advantage of this area last night. There is an outdoor swimming pool at the back of the complex with another BBQ and seating area. The pool has shade over half with sun lounges and seats. This was a popular place for families with younger children. Our unit is at the top so expect to climb 3 flights of stairs. 2 bedroom unit is well maintained with main bedroom, 2 singles and separate toilet and bathroom. Kitchen has good amount of crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment provided. Main bedroom and living area/dining/kitchen are also air conditioned. Penthouse balcony has BBQ, large outdoor setting, sun lounges and bar fridge and freezer. Great place to hang out with a few drinks to watch the sunset. On site managers are very friendly and answer any requests. Easy access to cycling paths, shops, take away places, markets etc. Many people wouldn't be aware of this little gem as it is accessed by smaller road off main road into Caloundra.

We recently spent a weekend at Tripcony Quays and will be going back when next an opportunity arises. The apartment was clean and well appointed (though obviously not particularly new) and conveniently located. Good air con and (I think) fans in all rooms as well as a lock up garage. I agree with the earlier reviewer that it might be wise to pack a sharp knife and corkscrew but there is a shopping centre five minutes down the road in any event. The management were especially helpful and friendly.

We requested a sunny apartment and were not disappointed. We had a 2 brm (Unit 7) on the second floor. The side 2 brm units face west and we had sun on the balcony from early afternoon until the beautiful sunsets at night time.

There are excellent estuary views over to Briebie Island from the private balcony and a small estuary view from the lounge. There was a private jetty for fishing, a heated swimming pool and two barbecue areas. The unit was spacious and clean with every utensil you could require and more than enough crockery for our use.

The managers, Joanne and Jim, were welcoming, friendly and yet respected our privacy. They told us several times to ask if we needed anything.

The apartments are situated close to an excellent chip shop and within easy walking distance to a shopping Mall and Caloundra shops. There are level coastal walks in both directions from the unit. A campground is across the road but the only noise we heard from it were happy children playing. The boatramp at the sea end of the road provided us with interesting watching and there were many people fishing from the shore.

The benefit of this accommodation is that there is no high apartment building on the western side to cut off the afternoon sun, unlike a lot of the other apartment blocks. This means that you can sit in the sun on your balcony and not be facing or overlooked by someone else.

We were told before booking that there was no lift in the 3 storey building At 67 and 64 we managed to climb to the second storey with no problem, in fact it was good exercise. Joanne very generously helped us with our luggage when we first arrived and showed us around the apartment and where items were located.

We would certainly stay here again if we were in the area.

Tripcony Quays is adjacent to the waters edge beside the Caloundra boat ramp. Most apartments have water glimpses rather than full views, but very short walk to waters edge.

Also a short walk to the lovely board walk along the foreshore, various supermarkets and shops. Relatively quiet except occas on weekends when boats are launched in the early morning.

Owners pleasant and helpful. Prices reasonable especially for longer stays. Linen delivered weekly.

The appts are neat and clean. Plenty of space in appts with reasonable storage /cupboards.

Major issue for us was the very variable kitchen utensils and crockery. All knives are blunt, poor range of bowl /plate sizes (and initially tricky to locate -look in the high cupboard above the kitchen bench). Also the shower over bath arrangement was a pain -a raised metal lip from bath to seal the swinging glass panel -we stubbed our toes on it frequently not being used to the added clearance required.

Small outdoors heated pool and adjacent BBQ area. garage parking with each unit. Larger cars may need to go in open visitors carpark area.
